You should always at least consult with a rabbit-savvy vet before making any modifications to the current treatment plan, so I’d recommend at least calling to leave a message/speak with the vet about your concerns and what to do.

When I read your first post it sounded like the vet was worried maybe because of his experience, but after reading your responses it sounds like he just presented the situation in an odd way. He’s on the pellets that he came with right now, but I’m going to be changing it. They’re not the best pellets… I don’t know what brand they are. I don’t think they are alfalfa pellets.

unfortunately this is the only vet in my area that will see rabbits, people have reccomended them to me and said they’ve done a good job, the vet also said that he has been successful in spaying/neutering rabbits. im not sure if i should keep the appointment or not, my parents wont take me anywhere farther to see another vet.
