If there are no other signs, I’d say this is normal behavior for an un-pregnant rabbit. Rabbits like to dig and rearrange in their living quarters (and in other places as well). If you give them plastic baby keys or stacking cups they tend to like to toss those things around. So this is not a behavior that means a rabbit is pregnant.

I got a phone call from the vet today, it’s good news. Luna’s liver values are almost back to normal, and her kidney values have improved as well (they won’t go back to normal due to her prior condition).

A couple of thoughts, it could be due to seasonal shedding. Another option is that perhaps she’s chewing on something that runs her mouth as she chews it, such as the cage bars, or a wooden log etc.

The last option would be from it getting wet from basal discharge or drooling, but it doesn’t look wet.

Just wanted to report that Banni is eating normally for the last few days. I think the belly rubs may have been crucial in getting him back to normal.

His patches of skin which I believed was a mite infection have also disappeared.
