The perks of working from home, Bas had a lovely view this morning. The whole fluffle was lounging together:

We bought a new carpet last weekend because Molly had a slight irritation under her hock.

This carpet is much softer and much larger too. The buns have more space to socialise, and it’s so soft that I can sit on the floor for a couple…[Read more]

    Thanks!

She does indeed have a water bowl and a bottle. She likes both but has a tendency to enjoy flipping her water bowl over and playing with it. The bottle ensures she always has water, even when being a turkey butt. 🙂

The green constrained is the bottom of a ferret cage and there is a large litterbox in the back half…thats where she…[Read more]

@Maria2022– Okay, this makes sense! This was very helpful. Aaaww, you’re not paranoid, it’s still good to wash your hands properly when you’ve been outside just in case of any germs and bacteria. Thanks! ♡

I have a purebred netherland dwarf, and what is believed to be a false netherland dwarf. My false netherland dwarf had a lot of the same body features. He weighs around 3 pounds. My purebred weights about 2.6. Features of false netherland dwarfs are longer ears, less round heads, and not as compact bodies. I believe he is a false netherland dwarf.…[Read more]

    Hey all,

I dropped my 2 buns off for their spay and neuter this morning ( I have a 1 year old Holland lop female named Beatrice and a 4 month old Holland lop male named Bernard). I was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions for after care? I’ve read pretty much every website and watched a ton of videos so I think I’m all set but is the…[Read more]

Cinnamon Bun, immune systems are different species to species. Some viruses target some receptors in the human immune system, those receptors might not be susceptible in bunnies or other animals. However, if you modify a virus genetically and make it susceptible to the receptors of bunnies then definitely yes, they will be infected.

    This Covid…[Read more]

OMG, what an adorable little smooshie! He makes me want to give him the longest cuddle in the world. I don’t think he looks like a Nethie, but he sure is so cute. He’s on my list for bun-napping! ♡

<p>@Wick&Fable and @LBJ10 – If none of the buns became sick or showed any symptoms even in those COVID-19 lab experiments, then why are we still recommended to wear masks around our bunnies and take precautions?! And if they can be infected with the virus, then why is it that they don’t become sick or show any symptoms? Sure, they can carry the…[Read more]

WOW, what a saga! And good job rebonding them!

I think since you’ve taken your time and slowly rebonded them, they will be fine! It’s recommended to supervise closely for the first 48 hours together whenever they are in a new space, so I would say you are still in that cementing phase, so keep monitoring them closely for a few days. I would also…[Read more]

Gahhh such a bummer! Food grade diatomaceous earth also works well for carpets and bedding. Hopefully the bunnies were spared!

So the cementing has gone well! We’ve basically been marathoning since Saturday with x2 five hour breaks in between for sleep and work. The cementing has progressed nicely and there are no more negative behaviours and a gradual increase in mutual grooming and snuggling. Glenn mounts a little, since Sunday it’s basically been once a day which to me…[Read more]

    welcome!

It would be best to keep them apart until Indi is spayed, so there’s no risk of hormones disrupting things, as you said. Adults tend to get a long with babies, but once puberty hits things can get tense and fights can break out randomly.

I think it’s great they are living side by side though and are acting friendly that way, that will…[Read more]

I have two Netherland dwarf rabbits

Honey (brown male) and Indi (white female)

Gotcha, that seems like a good set up!

If it seems like he’s more dribbling pee, it could be a UTI, so if it seems like it keeps getting worse, urinalysis might be a good next step.

Thank you for giving this bun a home!

Does he eat his hay? Hay is the most important thing for his teeth. If he isn’t eating his hay, I would have his teeth checked out by a vet to make sure they are all in alignment. Since he was eating pellets for so long, he may need a dental burring to get things back on track. They can probably even check…[Read more]
