This puts my mind at ease. I’ve been worried that the process is overly stressful on her, especially being in a relatively new environment with new people. I really appreciate the feedback and advice. Thank you!

Hey so I’m back with an update/realization regarding my last post where Fresno couldn’t walk. It happened again yesterday. I thought it was a random occurrence, maybe he strained himself again somehow, but then I put 2 and 2 together… both times this happened to him I dosed him with revolution the day before because he has those recurring ear…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Can I take my rabbit outside if he hates being picked up? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 1 year, 8 months ago
I wouldn’t recommend a harness, especially since he doesn’t like being handled. The risks of injury are very high if he spooks while wearing it. In general harnesses require a lot of training to be used. As cute as it is, it is really dangerous to have a rabbit on a lead, especially out in public. Plus, many rabbits hate it! As territorial…[Read more]

Hello! My freeroam indoor rabbit, age 2 is a very happy, energetic and inquisitive little lad and I think he would really appreciate the extra enrichment of going outside every once in a while on a harness if I can get him used to it so I would really love to do this for him if it/s possible. Trouble is he HATES being picked up and I can’t do it u…[Read more]

Gotcha, I have now made the connection with your other thread 😆
I think the best you can do is monitor both rabbits to make sure they are eating normally. Letting them visit each other is a good idea. You could also give each a stuffy and then swap so they other rabbit’s scent is on it (just be sure to monitor for chewing). I’m not sure if…[Read more]

I think this sounds pretty normal and not too bad! In my experience this is the easiest combo of personalities to bond. Bonding can be pretty stressful for buns, even when it’s going to plan. All of the running, thumping, and squeaking is her communicating with him, so that’s actually a good thing, believe it or not.
I would try using a larger…[Read more]

Unfortunently no. Smores(quarantined) is currently indoors and in a small hutch. Biscuit is outdoors and we are trying to figure out a situation to move them both indoors but as of now no avail. I did put a towel in Biscuit’s cage and plan on bringing smores outside for a bit in a mesh carrier to see if it helps. I’ve been monitoring both. Smores…[Read more]

The grass seems logical since that is what they were likely already eating. Alfalfa hay and pellets are good for young bunnies, so it’s OK if they are eating those too. I agree that you shouldn’t worry too much about reduced activity at night. Perhaps he/she just feels more comfortable during the day when there is movement around the house.

Thanks! I will check it out!
I forgot to mention that they are neutered, hopefully it will work out 🙂

Hey
I also agree with DanaNM. From my experience this behaviour all sounds pretty normal bonding behaviour and the timeline doesn’t seem too bad either, I’ve done two bonds that took 3 ish months and one that took 2 weeks with pretty much daily sessions and they all bonded successfully (snuggled lots and lived harmoniously post bond) despite lots…[Read more]

Hello,
This is my first time bonding bunnies and I really don’t want to mess it up and cause things to go backwards. I have read what feels like every article written and watched so many videos and have followed all the best advice. However, my female is very shy and she’s seemingly very annoyed with the bonding process.
Oliver, is a 10 month…[Read more]

Thank you for the response! I thought the same about the fresh grass but I contacted both exotic vets in town and one is a rabbit expert and they both suggested the same thing and said it’s because they were feral and that’s most likely what they would have been munching when not drinking mom’s milk. I slowly introduced pellets and now they love…[Read more]

I am weary of a vet who recommended very young (4-6 week old) rabbits to have raw grass clippings– it is not recommended for rabbits under 6mo. The gut biome is very sensitive and introducing fresh food like that (which is the same category as veggies) is dangerous as the gut biome is not mature enough to break down that material effectively. It…[Read more]

I can’t find a specific topic by the user unfortunate (@Q8bunny), but you can find some responses by the user if you search the following on google: “site: binkybunny.com q8bunny kuwait”. That will search our website for things including the user and the word Kuwait, and that should hopefully glean some information?
