If you can provide a picture of the set-up, that can be helpful! Rabbits engaging in their environment can indeed be loud, so there are small tweaks you can do to hopefully cut down on rattling and maybe redirect the energy to engagement items that are less overall noisy.

There’s no harm in getting one before it seems needed. Generally there is no age recommendation of when to transition — it is usually done in reaction to the owner noticing that their rabbit is, for one reason or another, reluctant to use higher-sided litter boxes.

I strongly believe they do! My buns will pick out their favourite pieces first very selectively! Even the same lettuce that is just a different colour. They typically should different but consistent level of excitement when I give them different varieties of greens.

There are some educational videos on the internet about how to help a chocking rabbit, they are last attempt that can be likened to the heimlich maneuver.

Familiarising yourself with these techniques might give you peice of mind that you can handle a situation should it arise.

There are things you can do to minimize chance of choking, such as scatter feed pellets and also ensure everything is fed cut very small. The actual likelihood of a rabbit choking (when they haven’t shown a tendency to do that already) is low.

Is that patch still there? I would have a vet assess it for something potentially fungal like ringworm based on its appearance, though it’s not something that can really be diagnosed just by pictures — you’d want a vet to thoroughly examine it.
