Jinx is adorable!
For pet beds, Etsy is often a good place to search. I have sewn beds for my bun. She loved the one she had last summer, but when she grew out of it I sewed a new one and she only ever uses it to rest her head against.

BZOO replied to the topic Help ! My rabbit is not eating hay! in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 6 months ago
Sherwood has a pellet that is designed for those that don’t eat much hay. I gave it a try, as Boo was never much for hay. They do love these pellets, but they have actually increased their hay intake, so I consider that a win!

I just wanted to update you that I decided to move the pair upstairs, away from the other bunnies. I made the room and I’m SO glad I did. The pair is so much more relaxed and no more squabbling over food. The only thing I’ve caught it humping, which he usually doesn’t do, but I think that’s normal given that they’re in a new space. I’m working on…[Read more]

These are the noises of a hormonal female and she is probably wondering how she can get to her new boyfriend. Since you said he mounted her during their interaction, it could be too late anyway. She may be pregnant already.
You’ll need to separate them. It would be a good idea to have the boy neutered ASAP. Girl bunny… you can either wait a…[Read more]

I’ve had my female bunny for about 6 months. Last week I got a male. I went through the steps to introduce them to each other properly. Yesterday was the first time they met face to face. Everything seemed great! They played, cuddled, etc. My male did mount her several times but she didn’t seem at all bothered. She was excited to play with him…[Read more]

attemptedquad replied to the topic Do I have the right strategy for bonding 4? in the forum BONDING 4 years, 6 months ago
Seniors definitely complicate things! I think I’ve decided to keep working on the 2 boys more and just keep the two pairs separate. My only female’s age is unknown, but I believe she’s definitely a senior as well. She has arthritis (and possibly spinal disease or a previous fracture) and stresses quite easily and I’m starting to realize I don’t…[Read more]

That makes sense, thank you so much for the reassurance! I’ve been coming home and washing my hands, immediately throwing my clothes in the wash and taking a shower before I see him!

Hi thank you for your advices 🙂 As of now he’s eating again though only small amounts of hay.
@GlennTheLionhead the soft poops are not that often, sometimes I won’t see any soft poops in his cage and in some days they’ll be there.
@ Wick & Fable I don’t really see my bun having trouble eating, I mean with his pellet he seems fine eating them.…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Can EC be passed from rabbit to rabbit indirectly? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 6 months ago
I can’t say 100% sure. But yes, if this bunny at the rescue is not actively shedding spores and what they are suffering from currently is an EC flare from a previous infection, then they are probably not contagious. It is never a bad idea to take precautions though since there are other things to worry about as well (RHDV, etc.). So yes, wash your…[Read more]

Thank you for your reply! So you think that as long as I wash my hands and change my clothes before I play with my bunny, there is essentially no risk to my rabbit because it’s only shed in the urine (which I’m not coming into contact with other than dumping the litter box) AND he is probably not even shedding it right now? So it’s probably reall…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Can EC be passed from rabbit to rabbit indirectly? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 6 months ago
The likely scenario: You bunny was already exposed to EC when he/she was a baby. It’s estimated that 80% of rabbits are exposed at some point, most when they are young.
For the sake of argument though, is the bunny at the rescue actually contagious? Rabbits typically only shed spores the first few weeks or months after they are initially…[Read more]

How likely is it for EC to be passed from rabbit to rabbit indirectly such as on shoes, clothing, and hands? There is a rabbit at the rescue that I volunteer for who recently tested positive for EC and is undergoing treatment. Is it safe for me to touch the rabbit, clean his cage, etc. and then come home to my rabbit as long as I change my clothes…[Read more]
