Definitely make sure all barriers are reinforced. Bunnies in this situation will often jump very high and work very hard to “get at” each other.

Can you try hanging up a towel over the gate to make a visual barrier?

@DixonDad I’d love to hear more about these speech buttons! I’ve seen dogs use them but have never heard of rabbits using them!

Sounds like there must be some smell from the couch’s previous owner that is triggering marking. Because they are soft, they absorb smells and it will be really hard to completely remove the smell.

I do think a lot of the behaviors you are seeing are due to the third bun in the house, and/or the possibility that Tess and Gideon may not have been super tightly bonded to begin with.

I think it’s worth trying the trio, it’s hard to say what will happen until you try!

I’m so glad to hear that! You can get a cardboard box and put some shedded paper in it for a dig box, and you can take it away when it starts to annoy you. Bunny is happy, you’re happy 🙂

I got a cat litter box with plastic screen from Amazon, literally best thing I ever invested in, digging stopped overnight

now trying to find a way of giving her a digging box to use as I fear she’s lost a fun thing to do!

so i set up the cage inside the room less than 24 hours and winston has tore down the barrier gate at least 5 times. both bunnies were thumping all night and wouldn’t stop until i layed on the floor. Winston also won’t let me or oreo move without lunging, and he has boxed me a couple times as well

OK, so he probably won’t get much bigger then.

He could be a Dutch mix then. The blue-grey eyes are the result of the dilute gene. Vienna marked blue eyes are usually a brighter blue. At least from what I have seen. His semi-rounded head makes me think perhaps he’s mixed with a dwarf breed, although his ears are pretty big. How old is he?
