Hey! Sorry I have been offline for a little while but just wanted to say thanks for the tips and pointers about fertiliser and gardening, cant wait for things to starter growing!
I have also heard the bunny poop fertiliser thing before, seems like a cost effective way of getting great plants 😀

Oo sorry missed the bottom question
nope and doesn’t seem hugely concerned with checking, teeth are fine…I’m worried about kidneys heard there may be a sludge thing that could cause it?
she was in epic mault just before and potentially but not sure! I got her a giant egg box (the open ones which hold like 24?) she was tearing bits off that…[Read more]

Oo Thankyou I’ll give that a go now!
haha yeah she looked at me like I was so stupid and was like, have you tried kale…she like it here? (Of course I did I delivered it, don’t you think I’ve tried that!?😂😂🙄)
but today left the house for four hours and I’ve come back to a very bright eyed bun! Who is now eating kale near me 🥳
not drinking…[Read more]

Sometimes they’ll drink “hay tea”. You brew it much like you would normal tea, let it cool and sieve off the hay, then serve in a water bowl.
You can also steam some hay or sray some water on it. Serve normal water and hay as well, some rabbits are very suspicious of “new” food.
It does get easier with time. Did the vet show you how to hold her…[Read more]

BunBun10 started the topic 2 huge rabbit sized litter box in the forum HABITATS AND TOYS 4 years, 4 months ago
I have two huge rabbits one is a 12 lbs and still growing and the other is 10 lbs. My current litter box is 24x18inches and 10 inches tall. They can both fit in it for now, but they are quickly outgrowing it. They have started peeing over the side on an almost daily basis. I’ve tried to put a second box in their area but they either don’t use it…[Read more]

Yes results came back on his new blood test and the kidney function is back to normal!!
We are just waiting for EC tests back because she still thinks he may have that which could cause the Gi stasis and will need to go on Fenbendazole. We will see what the blood work says.
I am still puzzled on his hormones. He was going nuts today! I will…[Read more]

Thankyou so much for getting back to me! I’ve been feeling like a complete monster today with the new ‘regime’ was going well this morning but then as the day went on slipped into not moving and struggling to motivate
ah thankfully no pellets, just hay and dried leaves…she’s such a weird bun! Never been interested in sugar and now completel…[Read more]

LOL, I just noticed the typo in my post. “Prey shop” instead of pet shop. Oh my…
Yes, Owen’s always been the laid back one. I hope that he’ll calm his sister down a bit when they’re bonded.
Molly is very sweet and she can be very sociable at times, but she’s oh so nervous… She’s had 3 real panic attacks during her 5 months here.
I’ve…[Read more]

It sounds like you’re making progress, Ellie! Owen certainly looks very comfortable in that picture 😃 Really clever of you to make the sofa an interesting spot with herbs!

It might very well be that she feels safe enough at home so her instinct to appear fit as a fiddle to deter predators relaxes a little. At the vet, she doesn’t know if there are lurking predators (all this is obv instinctive). I had the same thing happen with one of my buns, he even ate parsley when he was kept for observation at the vet, then…[Read more]

I ended up switching, having Oreo free roam and Winston in the cage. While he is still a bit aggressive it seems to be less than the day before. I also have been using the visual barrier off and on especially when things get super tense. Winston definitely hates being in the cage and has destroyed every toy inside, but he attacks the gate a lot…[Read more]

Thank you for your kind words, Bam, Azerane and Dorian! Yes, I’m still missing Breintje every day.
As the vet said: he’s bonded to you like to a bonded mate. I guess I’m experiencing what bonded bunnies miss when they lose their mate: the loss of always being together and caring for each other. We were practically glued to each other in his later…[Read more]

So now day 4/5 stasis, been back and forth from vet for some overnight stays but determined she’ll stay home now and I’ll somehow stop making her poorly!
apparently at vets they say she’s bright and eating drinking, home she’s sluggish and eating little (dry herbs etc but no fresh or pellets, no interest at all!) and syringing water…[Read more] -

Hopping mice are so cute, I had a pair of white mice when I was little, but like Ellie with having a hard time with the short life spans.
And Ellie, I get the young bun not stay still for cuddles. Dorian snuggles with me on couch in evening and will just melt anytime you pet him, but Miu barely stays still. I worry sometimes I won’t bond as…[Read more]
