Hi!
We have bad experiences with vets too. Rabbits aren’t popular pets here.. They aren’t rabbit savvy but they’re an exotics vet and they see a lot of rabbits and other small animals daily. It’s the only choice in my area. An actual rabbit savvy vet is about 4-5 hours away. That’s why the thought of getting her spayed is absolutely terrifying……[Read more]

That sounds really cool Azerane, what a great hobby.
I have actually lived in a couple countries Canada(home land)- germany, borneo and england. I have been on a good few overseas holidays but I won’t bore you with the details, my favourite places are tropical Jungle places though.
Perhaps on a similar note,
The person below me enjoys road-trip…[Read more]

Update, Glenn is also now flopped…. Perhaps their first ‘date’ was a positive experience for them….
Obviously I ran over shouting Glenns name in horror so they were both just frozen staring at me when I ran over.

AHHHH omg omg omg
Just made a massive mistake! I was working from home and I gave the bunnies both a treat and SOMEHOW must have forgotten to close the gates to their pens… Anyway, popped to tge kitchen for 5 minutes…. Didn’t hear anything going on… Walked towards the hall and noticed both pens open, ran over in panic and Glenn is inside…[Read more]

Poor Owen, so misguided 😛
I used some of my long service leave from work recently and have now been back at work 2 weeks plus today. It’s amazing how much less time there is in the day when you have to go to work, and how tired my feet get! I’d almost forgotten. I’d like to have paid time off forever please!
On the plus side, since returning to…[Read more]

I haven’t clicked on this thread in a few days and to have it be that the next time I click on it is funny xD Yes, I do like bird watching. If you want to get technical I consider myself a birder, rather than a bird watcher. Bird watching is generally a static activity such as watching birds at a feeder from a window. Birding is more of an active…[Read more]

Advantage only kills larva and adults. It doesn’t kill eggs. This is why a second application is sometimes needed after 30 days. Dosage recommendations vary. I’m not sure how much is in the kitten size now. They discontinued the original Advantage.

Sorry, another question. Sonwe treated our Buns with Advantage for kittens. She free roams the house. We are also doing everything to treat the house without harming her. Anyway, she still has fleas. She is 10lbs. We used the drops that go up to 9 lbs. What should I do now. I use a flea comb on her a couple of times a day.

He drinks loads of water, iv ordered hay of that hay box and see if that can interest him. At the moment he is eating away at his carrot house thing you can buy (he only gets it twice a day to chew on) for his teeth. I will fone vet again today see if they can see me again. It’s so tiring worrying about them all the time

Unfortunately not, he doesn’t take food when he’s grumpy/ offended 🤣 Despite being greedy he’s actually quite fussy with the conditions in which he’ll take food.

I have had my (neutered/vaxed 1.3kg) male Netherland Dwarf Eugene for a year and a half now, I recently got a (spayed/vaxed 850g) female Netherland Dwarf called Dolly, as a rescue and is estimated at about a year old.
It seemed to be love at first sight for these two, only taking a week in the bonding process to the end stage of moving into a…[Read more]

They weren’t slipper exactly… but slip-on shoes I wore around the house. Definitely not appropriate for what I was doing that day (walking around outside in the mud), but I didn’t notice until I was getting out of my car. I just had to be extra careful not to step somewhere I would lose my shoe.
I think I might have stepped outside a couple of…[Read more]

Irish (Gaeilge) is the 3rd language that I really wanted to learn 🙂 It becomes so much fun if you actually want to learn something, instead of being pushed by school or by parents.
I’ve been listening to Celtic music more lately, and I wanted to know more about Irish. It’s a very poetic language which is difficult to translate. So much gets lost…[Read more]

Thumper, my bunny has been acting up this past few months not wanting to eat her hay too. She is going through a yoyo-ing between gut slow-down and stasis. It is driving me up the walls too!
Kotton went for a checkup on her teeth, her vet said there was a sharp spur and some minor lesion on her tongue. They fixed it and then she went into a full…[Read more]

hophophop replied to the topic Picky bunny obsessed with alfafa! Help! in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 3 months ago
Dana, she is not even eating alfafa now.
I just got more meds for her so we have been keeping her on meloxicam, reglan and simenthicone for the weekend. She started rejecting critical care Friday, and has been surviving on fresh greens, minimal pellets (1/8 total, broken into two feedings), and very little alfafa (a handful altogether in a day).…[Read more]
