Tara replied to the topic Head tilt? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 3 months ago
My bunny also tilts his head while sleeping. He’s absolutely fine. Whenever he’s in deep sleep , his body falls on one side because he keeps his legs in such a way . His head gradually tilts and he sleeps. He never tilt head when awake and doesn’t show symptoms of illness. I think it’s normal. I am not a rabbit doc or something but I think it’s…[Read more]

Omg look at that butt!!! I love it when they lay with their legs right back like that, so cute!
They seem like they are really getting there!
Glenn is also a serial mounter, its normal for some buns. Both lady beens he’s been with have been that fed up with his mounting they have actually resorted to whimpering and running away! A noise a female…[Read more]

Hi DanaNM. I believe Sage and Paisley have a solid bond (at the moment). After just several days of meeting each other, the mounting and grooming with fur pulling stopped. Since November, they have been living in harmony. They groom one another, cuddle, and follow one another around.
In your opinion, if I separate them for several weeks after…[Read more]

So the babies have been pre-bonding for a day shy of two weeks now. It has gone swimmingly and they are both very calm in eachothers presence and have been mirroring since day 1! They are always hanging out by the pen grates and eating together! Its the calmest I’ve seen any of the 3 girls with Glenn… Glenn has been the same level of,…[Read more]

I tried to post the photo here, hopefully it worked!
Oh my gosh I never considered that he could be anything besides and escaped pet or feral… that is horrific 🙁
I am very happy he is safe with us!

It’s hard to say what actually happened. I can’t see the photo in your avatar very well. Assuming that he is a Cinnamon, then it’s possible he is an escaped meat rabbit.

Hi! I’m trying to piece together my newly adopted bunny’s backstory via his physical quirks/injuries (floppy ear, missing tail, and slight limp?)
I’m new to all of this (the forum and having a house bunny) and was wondering if anyone had ideas. I’ve read books and looked online, but I haven’t been able to find information about these specific…[Read more]

What caused the head tilt and how was she treated? I’m curious because incontinence is a symptom of EC.

Hello, my rabbit Hazel was litter trained, she’s around 6 yrs old. September she experienced head tilt and has some permanent damage but no more tilting. I’ve been trying since then to get her back into potty training, but it’s not working. I did find that using two boxes next to each other will limit the mess, but eventually she will pee on the…[Read more]
