It is normal behavior, because rabbits havent been bred to not bite humans the way dogs have. If a dog bites a human and draws blood it’s unacceptable and it’s reasonable to think there’s something wrong with the dog, healthwise or mentally.

I think you should definitely wait at least another 2-3 weeks before doing more sessions. Willow’s hormones will take a while to settle, which can make things more volatile. Yes they’ve done some blood tests to check her organ function and for e cuniculi. It sounds like a lot of different issues could be the cause. If nothing shows up there, the next step is an ultrasound to check her heart in more detail. We’re just desperately hoping they won’t find anything and the reaction was just caused by stress.

You could get Revolution (selamectin) as a “just in case”. It won’t hurt him to apply it, so no harm done if it isn’t fleas or mites.

PSA: Never use anything with fipronil on rabbits. It’s toxic to them.

Just a little update. Wednesday, 6/20/24 we drove down to Phoenix and adopted Mallow & Sage from the Arizona Humane Society. They are bonded, 4 year old male/female and are very sweet bunnies.
