BunjaminBunny replied to the topic Cat and Rabbit bonding? Any Advice in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 1 year, 7 months ago

My Bunjamin loves his kitty brothers. Sugar is always grooming him and they all are always laying together. Sometimes when the cats get the zoomies Bunjamin will join in too. But usually I leave his pen door open and he and the cats just lounge around in the room or in his pen. I’ve never had any issues with them, not even with my 4 month old kitten.

    Hello!

I currently have 4 bunnies. Whom are all bonded into pairs. I have Alfie (lion head) & Dixie (Netherland Dwarf) whom are bonded to each other and Daisy (Netherland Dwarf) & Theo (Netherland Dwarf x Angora) who are bonded to each other. I am trying to bond them all currently. I have a 3×3 area for them, large enough to walk around and lay…[Read more]

Hello everyone, I just wanted to provide some updates on Budja’s. She had her C-T and routine bloodwork done on 5/28 followed by her Spay Procedure on 5/29. She has recovered exceptionally well from her Spay Procedure, she seemed a little more sleepier than usual the first couple of days with small poops which gradually increased but her poops…[Read more]

Baby food that has non-veg components (meat, fish, chicken etc) wouldn’t be suitable, but that’s obvious. The fruit ones tend to not have added sugar, but they’re as a rule sweet bc of banana or mango or pear, since kids of course like sweet taste. I’ve only given “baby smoothie” to rabbits, in tiny amounts mixed with meds.

    Meloxicam (loxicom and…[Read more]

That’s great, I didn’t realise buns could eat baby food, are there certain types that wouldn’t be suitable? I don’t have children so I’ve never actually bought baby food before.

And yes, thank you for the suggestion about the litter tray, we do have an easy access tray, we use an old cage bottom and have saw’ed off one of the narrow ends to…[Read more]

My vet will just prescribe it over the phone. No need for a visit. You can call your vet to ask. Just say your cat had fleas and you want to treat your bunny as a preventative. And yes, it’s typically the kitten formula. You just need to make sure you’re using the correct amount.

If you can’t get Revolution, then you could try Advantage (as Bam…[Read more]

Yes. I think the kitten one is what’s used for rabbits, mainly because of body weight. You want a dosage that’s as close to your bun’s weight as possible.

You will need to do at least one repeat treatment to get the fleas that are eggs now but will hatch later. Repeat treatment should be done about 8 days after the initial treatment (4 weeks in…[Read more]
