I try to get locally sourced as much as I can. Should I stick to locally sourced veggies and only stop if there’s an outbreak in my area?

Are the veggies at the store sourced locally? If they come from an area not affected by the outbreak, then you should be OK. To be safe, you would want to make sure you know where they are being grown.

A little extra hay will definitely lead to a little extra poop! 😆

I don’t doubt that heat could cause him to feel unwell. Some bunnies have a higher tolerance than others, even if they are in an air conditioned house.

Another thought – Could he be chewing/eating something he shouldn’t. A secret drywall or carpet chew spot?

Can confirm the teenage nips for sure, Dorian could be quite bad when he was little but I would be overly dramatic about it so he knew he had bitten too hardand he eventually learned to not do it or just grew outofit. Oh could heat gave triggered it? We had a couple of days where it skirted around 80F inside? Dorian is finally done molting other than the area around his tail, just in time for Miu to start. At least she’s not as sensitive about being plucked or brushed. As long as she’s got a snack she couldn’t care less.

I thought about diet, but as Miu is a bit of a picky princess and I have not been foraging for their greens due to wanting them fully vaccinated first, it’s been pretty consistent. Just keep observing him. A spook in the middle of the night is quite common with rabbits. They hear frequences we cant hear, they pick up scents we have no chance of picking up on. It’s nothing supernatural or weird about it, it’s just how rabbits function.

Sorry just to clarify; the running was because he was scared. After he came out of cage, he was still spooked and was running everywhere out of fear.

It is very good that you’re being so vigilant. Knowing one’s bun normal routines and little quirks is the best thing when it comes to spotting if/when sth isn’tcompletely right early. Early detection of a problem is very important with buns, because as prey animals, they won’t show heavy duty symptoms until whatever isn’t right has become sth really wrong.
