Did they discuss the possibility of an incomplete spay? I just wonder if at her small size the vet who did the spay could have missed something (like a tiny ovary perhaps). At her age I’m surprised they suspect a tumor! But it sounds like you have found a great vet so I’m sure they will get to the bottom of it!

Glad she is doing better! It does sound like a gas attack that may have been brought on by the broccoli, the molting, or the combo of the two! Broccoli and other members of the cabbage family can cause gas in buns, so best to avoid them if you are having suspicious gas issues.

It seems reasonable that his symptoms are caused by the EC flare-up. The sudden but passing hind body weakness sounds like a type of seizure. Seizures typically makes both animals and humans very, very tired. Hind body weakness or paralysis is a typical finding in EC buns.

You might want to stop giving your bunny broccoli. I’ve read that it’s one of the few veggies that give bunnies indigestion and gas pain. In this case I think the broccoli is what’s triggering the gas especially since last time your bun had an gi episode you happened to him broccoli then too.

It indeed depends on the situation. For just gas I’d say: yes it’s effective. It didn’t help when Owen had an actual bout of stasis, then only gut motility drugs and painkillers worked.

Simethicone is also used in human meds for people with bloating. It gathers small gas bubbles and turns them into larger ones which are easier to pass.
