I’m less worried about side effects with the panacur than I am about having to actually give him meds he doesn’t like! He’s pretty wiley to handle so I wouldn’t really trust or expect a pet sitter to give him that type of med.

Whew, that does sound like a relief! Vets and other doctors can be very set in their ways, and I’m glad that she isn’t trying to taper his Metacam. Fingers crossed for the Panacur treatment!

We talked through his new developments and she agreed the cataract was very noticeable (and hadn’t been there at his recent appointment), and there was a bit of haze forming in his other eye as well. As strange as it sounds I was hoping it might be an abscess when we first went in as I know those are fairly easily treated. Unfortunately, it wasn’t an abscess. I think they’ve gotten better.

I have VERY long hair and am rapidly going bald.  My hair is everywhere.  No hair wraps on this thing.  The only thing it doesn’t like is large pieces of broken dishes.

I’m sorry. It must be awful having to wait so long. So the vet was able to get cells from living tissue? Because my first thought was maybe an abscess. If it is a tumor though, then they can do x-rays, etc. to make sure it hasn’t spread. A lot of times, they can just remove the tumor and the bunny is good to go for quite some time afterward.
