Sasha707 started the topic How do I make my bunny drink medicine? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 3 years, 8 months ago
Hey everyone! I have a problem with my bunny refusing to drink water that contains medicine. It’s a liquid that must be mixed with water 25ml / 1l. Since he drinks A LOT, like 2l per day (i know it’s not normal), I can’t just use syringe to give it to him, he can’t drink anything else besides that for 3 days straight, but it’s impossible.
Do…[Read more]

He looks like an English Spot, with some lionhead in him. He’s adorable! I’m no expert on rabbit breeds, so let’s hear whst the others have to say!

He is about 9 months old and we got him at a pet store as a baby so no one has a clue what he is. He’s about 5-6 pounds right now and I’m pretty sure I know the breed but I need others opinions. Thank you <3

Thanks so much for letting me know how much apple cider vinegar you used. I will try this immediately.
Unfortunately, no, nothing has helped. I bought some nose plugs. but it’s not feasible to wear them all the time. To make matters worse, she has decided to start peeing all over the place. Started with her grass mats, now in random corners,…[Read more]

Hey all! Happy Sunday. I wanted to see if anyone knew of a rabbit specialist or very good rabbit vet in the So Cal area. Were in Long Beach. We currently have a vet but to be honest they really suck and have poor customer service. Any Help is appreciated!
Cheers!

Big Booboo has given birth. I can see two babies in her nest so I will leave her to it.

We adopted adorable rabbit sisters, Netta and Nelli, about three months ago. They are shy toward humans and do not like to be petted but are quite curious and like exploring. We spayed them at the same time soon after adopting them. They were close friends but unfortunately Nelli, the dominant rabbit, got ill and was hospitalized for two nights.…[Read more]

An update on the rehoming. Its not something I’ve taken lightly. I want to keep all three even though they can drive me crazy at times. I’m going to re-home one of the females, “I haven’t decided which female but I will give myself until next week to decided. I will keep one male and one female and keep trying to see if I can get them both fixed…[Read more]

I found out the reason why she is digging so much. A month and some weeks ago I thought she was pregnant and she has been getting big. Its been far to long now so I doubt she is pregnant and shes not been anywhere near the buck since they were all separated. She has started to build a nest and shes torn off fur from her stomach to line her nest.…[Read more]

it just dawned on me, have you thought of using an electric blanket to sleep at night? They are so warm. No need to wear thick clothes to sleep and then get them sweaty. They are insanely warn in the night. Many if not most also have auto shutoffs so it will turn off automatically after a certain number of hours.

Unfortunately they are getting too much. I can’t continue to live like this and need my sleep at night. If they were spayed and neutered then they all could have been together outside. I’m going to have to get rid of them because its starting to affect me mentally. I will keep the male bunny as his well behaved and doesn’t keep me up at night. but…[Read more]

You may be able to sneak a peak with a mirror. Although this is usually easier when it’s a spay instead of a neuter.

I have the same thing at night with the sweating. I also am without heat at the moment (though luckily it is likely not as cold here) so I’ve been wearing winter clothes indoors. At night I start out so cold but then wake up sweating haha. It is bizarre how this happens.
About washing clothes by hand, I do not know if these are available where…[Read more]

The oldest bun I know that had regular and frequent dental burrs was former moderator Little Puffy Tail’s Bindi Loo. I think he was well over 10 when he passed. He had dentals every 3 months if I remember correctly. Bindi was a mini lop with the typical squishy face.
My Vilde had horrible teeth, he had his last dental at 8 years and lived for 9…[Read more]
