You could try 0.5-1 ml of simethicone baby gas drops, and a very light tummy massage. Put her down somewhere away from where she normally hangs out so she must hop to get there. Repeat every 30-40 minutes for a few hours.

Ok, so the bunny im getting is used to being outside, andi have an outdoor hutch and an indoor one, so i’m putting my bunny into the indoor hutch and cleaning out the outdoor one so there are no bunny scents. Will that work?

every morning i give pumpkin a digestive tablet from oxbow and she normally goes crazy over it and eats it right away. today when i gave her one she ran over to me and ripped it out of my hand like she always does, but then she dropped it and went to her hideout. I gave her some gas medicine and she took it, she never does that when shes sick.…[Read more]

I wouldn’t be alarmed by her behavior. Some bunnies just need more time to warm up. Are they all super affectionate? No. Each bunny will love their owner in their own way. But her behavior right now (as a bunny that recently moved to a new home) doesn’t mean she will never accept pets from you.

It was never a mess. The screen just sat directly on top of the bedding. Pee would go through, but poops stayed on top. I would just flip it over and let the poop fall into the box. I did this every now and then until I was ready to clean the box. You could add a layer of hay on top if you wanted. I didn’t do that, but I never had a problem with…[Read more]

I have a deep litter box she pushes the bedding up in to pile and then digs it out, lot of effort is put into this so she gets an A for effort. I have even tried separating the hay. Buying a 100 something litter box didn’t help either, it separated the hay from bedding in hopes she doesn’t dig without piles already being there. The litter screens…[Read more]

I’m sorry about the babies. As BZOO says, it’s not very rare with first-time bun moms.

So I took them to the vet again a few weeks ago. They also seemed to be stuck in malt but the vet didn’t think there was a problem. However he prescribed them more panacur worm treatment. When they were on this the excessive malting stopped, so I think the malting may have been down to a parasite. I feel like maybe they’re not so much of a rabbit…[Read more]

Sadly not. I really did not want to have to tell people they didn’t make it. I don’t know what happened but the mother decided she wasn’t going to look after them and kept scattering them about her enclosure. I had to keep putting them back in to her nest with tissue paper.

LBJ10 replied to the topic How can I tell if he's losing his hearing? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 3 years, 8 months ago
Rabbits are notorious for ignoring you if you don’t have something they want. If you haven’t already, try a novel sound. Something he wouldn’t have heard before. Like I said, I tried a party horn. One of my bunnies immediately perked up like “what the heck was that?!”. The other one (the deaf one) did not respond at all.

Hello!
I have two rabbits, P (male, 2 years old) and C (female, ~1 year old). We bonded them in April — it took a month but we finally figured it out! At first P was way way way more aggressive towards C, lunging at her and “bunny tornadoing” but those behaviors plateaued over the bonding process as they got more comfortable with each other…[Read more]
