Welcome to BB! This is an old thread, I don’t think the OP is still around. However, if my memory is correct, Fluffy did well for quite some time after this. If your bunny is having a similar issue, then spaying ASAP is the best choice you can make. If it is uterine cancer (which is common), you have a good chance of curing her by having the…[Read more]

Hi,
Did this solve your problem down the line? I know immediately things improved. We’re going through the same issue right now and wondering if I should go to the vets to ask for an emergency spay in the morning.
Mines been to the vets once and given antibiotics but things haven’t improved. She is basically passing blood every time she goes to…[Read more]

Raelinn & Gus started the topic Brought Two Bunnies Home, Worried About RHDV2 in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 3 years, 6 months ago
Hi all,
Question: Do you think, situation considered, I should be worried that they are infected and have in turn infected Gus?
Background/Situation: I’ve been looking to get Gus a friend recently. We had a failed bonding attempt with a bunny from the closest shelter, Lily, who ended up bullying him into stasis and this shelter in particular…[Read more]

Walter’s B-day was today. Some baby carrots and an extra digestive tab (they LOVE those things). Gonna make them a new dog box too. Since we don’t know Boo’s B-day, we’ll call this hers too.As hard and long as the bonding process was, it was SO worth it.
Hope y’all are having a good New Year. I have declared that 2023 be the year of good sl…[Read more]

Meg replied to the topic How can I help Teddy? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 3 years, 6 months ago
Thank you so much, everyone! I’m excited to try Emeraid, and have just ordered some of the Sustain kind (it should arrive on Friday). Teddy hasn’t been into the Sherwood or American Pet Diner versions of CC either, but maybe Emeraid will be the one! 🙂 Thank you so much for telling me. 🙂 I didn’t realize about how arthritis affects the j…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Questionable consistency of urine in the litter box in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 3 years, 6 months ago
In addition to a diet too rich in calcium, water intake and exercise are both crucial in literally moving around what’s in the bladder to prevent sludge/stone formation, so if she has been less active and not hydrated, that may also be a contributor.

This is very stressful, sorry you have gone through all of this! And thank you for the detailed info! This isn’t normal bonded behavior. As to whether it’s a broken bond or never fully bonded, I’m not sure. Trios are difficult, and sometimes may not work if the combination of personalities isn’t right. It sounds to me like Simba was more shy at…[Read more]

I would call your vet and see if she can be seen earlier. Tell them she has completely stopped eating. It’s possible there is something else going on that is presenting like a dental issue, or her spurs are just very painful. In the meantime you should syringe feed her if she won’t eat anything.
