I’m so sorry!!  You’ve loved and cared for her so well.  Did you bury her with treats?  We are doing the same thing with Teddy — at least with things like his favorite dried flowers and willow and plantain leaves.

Oh that’s good to know about the adhesions! I read about complications previous to Rue’s surgery just to be prepared since Rue is a notoriously finicky bunny but I didn’t quite understand what caused adhesions to form.

According to my very bunny savvy vet, adhesions mostly occur if the spaying vet touches/messes with the intestines during the spay surgery. Adhesions typically do not manifest right after the spay procedure,  they require some time to form.
