There arent many things you can do now but to try and keep him warm (to prevent chock), maybe give some water in a syringe if he will take that. Just to tie him over until you can get hold of a vet. Ideally he should have sub q fluids, but most people dont have the equipment for that.
Try to sit with him. He might know you are there and take…[Read more]

AWWWWW I’M SORRY
Rabbits will sometimes just simply ‘stop working’ if they go through something scary or terrifying to them. A simple fall or sound that is perfectly normal to us, could harm and affect the rabbit in some way. Depending on the breed, he may live longer, or it could just be the length of his eventful life. Still, no need to give up…[Read more] -

I have had a hard time working with my new Giant Flemish, Jupiter. I have taught him how to do tricks, not dig on his pee-pads, and even how to not bite things unless I give them to him. I started litter training him because I believed that litter training was one of the easiest things, also I wanted to be able to prove that he didn’t need to be…[Read more]

I think my poor sweet bun is passing away. ๐ฅ
It was only two weeks ago that he returned to doing binkies after his dental procedure in April. I was immensely happy to have my bun’s funny character back!
Yesterday, he played and dug. And today, he is completely lethargic and not eating. ๐ฅย Yesterday, I saw him eat hay too. Today, he just…[Read more]

Yep, one day it just magically becomes fun. I agree, a litter screen will perform miracles.

Sometimes bunnies just decide this is a very fun thing to do. Giving her a digging box is a nice idea, and adding a litter box screen should also help with the digging.

Are they 100% sure she doesnt have a molar problem? Drooling and weight loss could indicate she is having enough trouble chewing that she is losing weight. It can be hard to see the back molars without anesthesia or x-rays.
I agree that increasing pellets amounts slightly or adding critical care (or a similar product) to be sure she’s getting…[Read more]

Hello!ย My 6 y/o FS Holland Lop, Hazel, has just started digging her hay and litter out of her box.ย First, some history: She lives with her housemate,ย George, in a 4’x6′ acrylic pen in which they have various options for chewing, and she has been showing happy bun behaviors.ย She is currently being treated for an abscess at the base of her ear…[Read more]

Yes, they tend to adapt just fine. But I do agree that they can have more trouble with arthritis. Considering his age, this might be a concern. I would definitely look into ways to make things more accessible to him. Jumping up and down from things would be especially hard on the joints.

I’m not really seeing any “swelling”. It looks normal to me considering she is unspayed.

I’ve been in contact with my veterinarian this week and we also agreed to keep the basic diet for here. Luckily, she’s been getting better and the soft poops events been getting less and less frequent. But since i’ve been paying more attention on her booty lately, i’ve noticed her genitals a bit swollen :/ i’m going to make a new post talking…[Read more]
