The last time I took him his teeth were doing really good … I really hope it’s not his teeth .. 🙁 I love him so much and he is only a year old .. I would give up the world for him. I’m off work right now so I’m hoping this does not cost too much

I’m curious to know what your vet says and I hope she has a better day than yesterday!

Thank you 🙂
What you said about the texture of the powder seems reasonable- it is still a powder somehow and I had it since 2007 when I got my first bunny and moved literally 10 times (no exaggeration, I was a uni student living on one-year contracts). I threw it out anyway as a precaution and will use cornstarch until I buy more styptic powder.…[Read more]

Hi Dana, thanks for the reply. I went through the process to better show you what I mean. There are no corner bits to crop the photo and the crop button just saves it as is.

Thank you Bam and Dana!
Bam: the cookie cup is my strategy for controlling their treat intake because they have perfected their face so every time someone comes by they act as if they have never eaten a treat before! I try to keep sugary treats to a minimum but my partner loves saving little pieces of carrot and apples for them.
Dana: I would…[Read more]

Hi there, glad the drops helped overnight and that he’ll see a vet today. Make sure they check the teeth! My mini rex years ago had thick discharge on one eye and the vet determined that it was a retrobulbar disease caused by a back tooth growing into her tear duct and then got infected probably due to hay dust and scratching. It was an easy…[Read more]

To DanaNM
I intend to feed pellets to her two times a day and feed less pellets gradually.
But I failed this approach many times because she wont eat hay nonetheless and I can not let my rabbit starve and become angry and irritated.
I will cut sugary treats and juice too considerably for the time being.
I feed her oxbow hay…[Read more]

I 100% agree about shared territory-after any potentially contagious problems are cleared up. If at all possible just trade back and forth daily or multiple times a day where they are in each other’s pens. It will force them into acceptance mode even before the actual dates start. They will have to accept that they are in the other rabbit’s space…[Read more]

Hi.
He may be having dental issues that you cannot identify at home… dental issues may make it painful or uncomfortable to chew hay which does need a lot of chewing so he will stop. If it is a sudden chance there is a decent chance this could be the culprit.
