Oh Fable!
Would the “eeeeek” noise work? Almost as if you make her think she’s biting you?

Fable, my lovely Fable, is a chewer. I have baseboard, carpet, and wall corner casualties that I am sure to pay for when I move out of my current apartment, but I have worked to lessen those behaviors by redirecting her and blocking things off.
Something I haven’t made too much progress with is her chewing on clothes.
Fable frequently comes up…[Read more]

Wick and Fable are in charge, in different ways, haha.Fable, myself, then Wick for most to least exercise.
Fable relaxes the most, in addition to having the most exercise? Haha!Wick throws the most tantrums, then myself, then Fable.
Wick washes the most.
Wick is the best early riser.… Fun!!

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Tips on Handling Rabbits in the forum BEHAVIOR 6 years, 5 months ago
To an extent, you can habituate a rabbit to handling and instill in them a certain sense of security that they will not get injured/be dropped when carried/handled by humans. I do adamantly believe that every rabbit has his/her own threshold though, and trying to change that threshold can be an impossible and frustrating task for both parties.
As…[Read more]

Is he overweight, do you think? Overweight bunnies can have difficulty grooming their bum.

This reminds me of lollemaus’ enclosure. I follow them on instagram. I believe they have a large story highlight of the enclosure, as well as posts on how they went about building it! (https://www.instagram.com/lollemaus/)

Unless one or both seem to express distress/aggression with seeing the other, it should be fine for them to see each other. Not seeing each other, but being able to hear and smell each other, tends to make rabbits nervous because they can’t visually see the source of the scuffling and smells. That has been my experience with my rabbits!

Hi everyone!
I am new on this online forum and was wondering how long it took for you all to handle your rabbits. To give a little background on mine, Ollie is a Netherland dwarf rabbit who is 31/2 months old. I recently bought him about a month ago and as of now, he lets me pet him when he is laying down. Sometimes when I walk into his pen, he…[Read more]

Hello,
I’m brand new here. Our family is adding a bunny to our home in the next couple weeks time. We are building an enclosure for the bunny to be in when we are not home with it, or unable to keep an eye on him. When I was a child I had a Netherland Dwarf, and the poor babe was in a tiny cage. When I think back on that I just want to sob. I’m…[Read more]

Ah yes, you’re right. I’m hoping their both sexed properly but nothing is wrong if one of them is a boy.
That being said, you’re 100% correct. I’ll observe them when they first arrive and then split them up as I see fit. They’re both going to be 8 weeks old when I receive them!
Due to space, do you think it would be a good idea to set up the ca…[Read more]

I agree with the others. Looks swollen. Something is bothering her and she’s probably licking it. Just a thought, has she been running anywhere where you have been using cleaners on the floor? I suspect, in that case, that all the feet would be affected but it just really looks to me like a post I’d seen of a dog paw that had walked on some…[Read more]

This is very strange. My first thought was, as Dana said, an injury/abscess resulting from a hay poke or other irritating agent.

If it only is when he is snoozing, it could be snoring. I’d say observe closely. If a bun has a congested nose, youd hear it extra when he is excited or active, for example after running around.
It is normal for buns to want a certain veg very much for a while and then, suddenly, get fed up with it. It is as if they get enough of the particular…[Read more]

He totally does get into funks where he is just bonkers with the digging, chewing, mounting attempts, etc…. I think it all may be spring-time related, so I think some more boredom busters are probably going to help, even if they are not specifically related to the digging/box chewing. Thankfully I have an order of goodies from binky bunny on the…[Read more]

To go along with everybody else, you should consider taking your bunny to the vet as eye goop is often a sign that something else is going on. In my case some years ago, I had a bunny with eye goop that was creamy colored, then yellow and even green before I went to the vet. Trust me, don’t wait on this because it won’t go away on its own and it…[Read more]
