@jerseygirl Thank you! That was a lot of good information 🙂
He only left one cecotrope this morning after I lessened his greens last night, so you may be right about the sugary syrup in the oral medicine. It is cherry flavored and he loves it lol
I did hear that before from someone, that the other buns probably already have it if they’ve been…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic Are fresh grass, herbs, and weeds a good substitute for hay in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 5 months ago
Cat grass is often grown from rye, oat or wheat, sometimes it’s orchard grass. It’s fine for bunnies and not the same as catnip. I have grown cat grass for my bunnies, they tend to like it a lot.
I must look up betony!

Is she taking a treat from you?
If not, she could have gas pain. Do you have simethicone baby gas drops at home?

update: I got her back out from under the dresser and put her back in her cage as gently as possible, but the thumping is still going.

Autumn started the topic How to get rabbit to eat hay in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 5 months ago
My rabbit has never really taken an interest in hay, mostly because I’ve fed him unlimited pellets from a young age due to lack of knowledge when I got him as a teenager. He just went in to the vet for teeth problems after he stopped eating and went through some stasis problems. He’s just finished his medicine and the vet told me to limit his…[Read more]

I decided to head on over here because I remembered this website from when I first got my bun. My rabbit willow is a 3 year old dwarf lop rabbit and shes been acting strange today. She’s been stomping her foot very frequently for almost an hour and i’m not sure whats wrong. She’s stomped before but never this much. I researched and it said the…[Read more]

Hey! Sorry I haven’t got back to you sooner but I thought I’d try out your advice. I’ve laid down some blankets and done away with sawdust. I bought some wood pellets from pets at home to put in her corner litter box and her outside litter box and now I’m having trouble getting her to understand that it is a litter box. Lol she seems to think it’s…[Read more]

Actually we are already back to work here in Germany. We have fewer active cases (~21000) left than the US gets daily new infections (~24000). Benefits of having a good public health care system and taking quick action when the pendemic started 😉
But I work from home, so I can monitor them almost 24/7 and we haven’t seen them fight anymore. When…[Read more] -

Thanks, good to know! What about Cat grass for buns? I saw a post on reddit where someone had planted some garden boxes with it for their concrete patio.. I thought that might be a good idea since you can get those seed packets everywhere.
I didn’t know it was related to mint! The roots are pretty tasty. Did you see the thing about Betony selling…[Read more]

Oh it was wonderful! I hate hate hate hate HATE being hot. I’ve sweated enough for a dozen lifetimes, and I’ve sworn I’m never sweating again because of the weather unless I want to.
That first tiny snowfall of the season had me GLUED to the windows like a kid at Christmas. (There may have been window licking. Don’t judge me.)
And Loki LO…[Read more]

Constant licking is enough to cause the fur loss. It sounds like she’d not doing that so that is promising!  Fingers crossed she leaves it alone to fully recover.
Thats frustrating about not going in with her at the vet. I guess it’s only a temporary thing.

@jerseygirl I’ve never really noticed her biting at her paw before (but she obviously has, hence the fur coming out), though today I’ve been keeping an eye on her didn’t see her biting it once (only licking both of her paws so that she could clean her face, and she didn’t seem annoyed with the ‘bald patch’ one). I think that is good progress.…[Read more]

The ear does drain into the nose, so yes it could cause the sneezing.
Ear infections can take a while to treat, even 4-6 weeks so hang in there. I suppose it’s possible the drops themselves are filtering down and triggering some sneezing. It depends on how much they manage to shake out!
Seeing some hoop come out isn’t necessarily a bad thi…[Read more]
