thank you very much for your reply as I am worried about him and new to bunnies. He is still eating and pooping but the hardball in his stomach is still there. I am going to the store to pick up gasX and a critical care pack for him he does not seem to be showing any signs of pain. I’m not sure about vets there are only four in Alaska where I live…[Read more]

Ohh I see, thank you!! I’m a bit more relieved now, I want him to be a healthy and happy bunny so I get a bit over concerned sometimes when there seems to be something wrong.
I’m a bit affraid of giving him fresh grass, mainly because I had this friend, who purchased grass from a pet shop, and it turned out the grass had some remanent of ant…[Read more]

I have a tunnel and Loki and Dawn love it! Problem is for Loki now is when he sploots, he’s almost the entire length of the 3′ tunnel, lol.
Won’t let me post a pic of him for some reason.

Ears are a little on the small side, you’re going to have problems if you plan to show them. The buns are adorable though.
Kidding, of course. I have no name suggestions, but they look like already much loved members of the family!

Oh no I’m so sorry for your loss 🙁 I figured that’s what it was but we were never really sure. She was purely an indoor rabbit and would roam the room from time to time. Her original owner would take her outside sometimes and had a cat that would be with her (because she wasn’t really caged most of the day there) so when I introduced her to my ca…[Read more]

I’m super hopeful that since they’re littermates and we will be getting them spayed/neutered ASAP hopefully before hormones kick in…
I know you’re eager to bond them, but I would caution you against getting them fixed too early. As LBJ said, most buns can be done around 6 months. Yours are giants though, which means they will develop slower…[Read more]

When I go to any link like the “active topics”or “what’s new”, then the link in that says “reply to:…” it will only show me that reply and won’t let me get to the original post like before.

Hi, did you recently give him any new veggies or fruits? Is he still pooping? It could be the first signs of stasis. I’m not sure how experienced you are with rabbit care and if you have a emergency care box for them. He might have a blockage but without xrays, we won’t know. Do you happen to have gasX? It is in the baby medicine isle. You…[Read more]

I’m sorry for your loss. I recently lost one of mine but she had a history of health issues. I also suffer from depression and know it can affect how I provide for my buns. To me it sounds like she had GI stasis and it could be from stress or Shan he in diet. Does she live outside? It is recommended buns live inside away from stressors that may c…[Read more]

Hazel replied to the topic Agressive couch peeing in the forum BEHAVIOR 6 years, 4 months ago
Have you ever checked to make sure he’s in fact neutered? I know this is unlikely the issue given that he sounds well behaved other than the peeing on the couch, but since someone else supposedly had him neutered before you got him it might be worth to take a peek just in case.
