Dana – This is what I was wondering too. Is the entire abdomen hard? Or is it more like a “lump” up by the rib cage? Sometimes you can feel a full stomach. It will feel like there’s something big in there, but it’s just a stomach full of food.

They are so cute! I can tell they are going to be BIG 😀

Someone at my rescue has 2 American continental’s named Thunderpaws and Storm Cloud, they are SO CUTE and HUGE. Like you have to rub your eyes when you look at them to make sure you’re seeing properly!

I vote Marshmallow if your daughter is sold on that one for the gray one, and Graham for…[Read more]

If it is true bloat (vs. gas), then it is an emergency. Here’s some info on bloat (warning there are some necropsy photos):

However, the fact that he isn’t showing signs of pain makes me think that it probably isn’t bloat?

Sometimes after eating my buns tummies will feel…[Read more]

Sorry, I edited my reply a few times.

Ive has a rabbit pair where one had mild case of mites a few times and his bunny mate didn’t. He had some health problems so his immune system wasn’t as strong.

Hmmm, but aren’t mites highly contagious?? Mia has nothing at all and they are always snuggling close together. 😕☹

It does look like the new fur is growing in but there is some flakiness. Rabbits can get some dry skin but this could also be fur mite. Furnite is easily treated with a spot-on treatment Selamectin. It’s known as Revolution or Stronghold.

Most bunnies under the age of 7 months should have unlimited pellets. I think 101Rabbits has a video on young bunny diet. You can probably just search Young Rabbit Diet 101Rabbits on YouTube. Hope this helps!😁

    Hi Shanni

The links are not opening to photos, just the photo box front page. I’ll DM you to see if you can sent the photos to me and I can add them here for you. Unfortunately, the forum isn’t allowing photo upload at the moment. It’s on the fix list!

    Hello!

My bun Keiji has some skin issues lately, but he’s still eating, drinking and playing…I noticed a little puff of fur sticking out near his bum, so I pulled on it, came out super easy and all he did was a little twitch. He doesn’t seem to be in any pain, but he scratches a lot and grooms a lot.

I have another bun Mia, and she’s perfectly…[Read more]
