Your bun is ill and the fact that he cant stand up makes this a very serious thing. He does need a vet. He’s probably cold now, so you need to warm him up. You can put a warm water bottle in a towel near him, but he must be able to move away from it if he gets too warm. Is he still all wobbly and floppy?
When did he last eat something?

today i checked on my rabbit and he was stuck sitting in the same spot staring the wall. i gave him his daily grass and water but he didn’t eat as much as he used to. i picked him up and put him somewhere else and he was having trouble walking around. he kept flopping over to the side and eventually i gave up on putting him back on his feet and l…[Read more]

I agree. If he’s not used to the sound, then ease him into it. Generally, rabbits come to accept the vacuum and after awhile, it doesn’t seem to bother them. They can become so accustomed to it that they will sometimes refuse to move out of the way.

Oh, I only have one rabbit, and he is neutered and litter trained. Because our rabbits are similar, I’m trying to use the knowledge I already have.

Bam replied to the topic Bunnies wee a red/browny colour? in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 4 months ago
Rabbit pee comes in a variety of colors. The colors as a rule come from plant pigments. The white you see in the males’ pee is calcium, which in rabbits are excreted in the urine. Both reddish pee and white chalky residue is normal for rabbits.

Can you take him so he doesn’t end up in a less loving home or shelter but keep them at prebonding/neighbors for now? If you have enough space that might be a good option, although I do agree with the other people who suggested getting a second opinion from a vet who treats a lot of rabbits. Of course it’s frustrating to pay twice but if it’s an…[Read more]

(May 24th Updates)
Hi everyone!
So we’re nearing the end of the month-long treatment with the oral antibiotic/antifungal medication with Ollie. I think the infection has gotten better, but I still am able to see some flaking, and he has lost some more fur between his ears on his neck area, which I think could be a good thing (?) considering that…[Read more]

Most buns learn to accept the vacuum. If hes been in a foster home, they probably vacuumed now and then.
You could turn on the vacuum in another room for starters, and just keep it running for a few minutes to see how he reacts. This would be a method to help him get used to the sound. If he seems ok with it, use the vacuum in the room hes in,…[Read more]

It does sound like territorial marking. Their bond might not be quite solid yet. You said they each have their own litterbox and food bowl, does that mean they don’t live together 24/7?

Hello all! I’m fairly new to this forum but I can’t wait to see and read about everyone’s furry friends! <3
I need some help with bonding my bunnies/knowing whether my bunnies will get along.
The bunnies in question is my double lion-head boy, Totoro, (who is 1 year old), and my lop eared bunny Honey, who was a rescue, (we think she is around 3…[Read more]

hmm, maybe one rabbit is feeling more territorial hanging around with the other one?

Indeed, I’m doing all of the above. He has a pretty big litter box – its width is twice his size, which contains hay and many paper towels with its pee. This doesn’t seem to stop.

I know rabbits should have unlimited hay, but it seems like my bun is eating SO much! Is that ok, or should I limit some of his hay?

Louiethebunny started the topic Why is my rabbit chewing his food bowl? in the forum BEHAVIOR 6 years, 4 months ago
I have a ceramic bowl I made at a pottery class, it’s sturdy and food-safe, but my bunny likes to chew on it. Is that safe? I’m concerned it isn’t safe for him to chew on it. Thoughts?
