It was 96 yesterday here in northern Utah; 75 today with thunderstorms; high of 56 tomorrow! Phoebe shot off from her litter box into her couch cave once or twice early this morning when the winds got super strong and startled her.

You could build a top out of NIC grids. It won’t be particularly pretty either, but it would be a safer/more functional option than the fitted sheet. I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I agree, 4 x 2 is too small even for a “regular” sized rabbit. With the recommended minimum cage size of 12 x 12, they should have at least 4-6 hours of play time out of the cage per day, that again is only the recommended minimum.

I love that there’s daylight until past 10 pm now and for a few weeks more! It’s not very warm here but that’s normal for June.

Two things here:

1. Your rabbits should not live together if they are not completely bonded. There is a bonding template you can fill out in the “bonding” forum.

neutering them can make a WORLD of difference in litter training, they pick it up much more easily and a lot of their territorial marking habits cease.

I dont mean to hijack your post. But we have 2 buns in a 4ft x 6ft pen. We have a normal sized cat litter box for them. They’re still only 12 weeks old and we got them at 8 weeks. We use equine pine pellets in the box with hay on top.
