I’m sorry you are going through this.
Rabbits can carry the EC parasite, (a very tiny parasite, nowadays classified as a type of fungus), for a very long time without showing any symptoms and without any complications from 5he parasite. Symptoms can also be atypical and mistaken for something other than ec, so many cases probably go…[Read more]

Hello! I had a couple question about Ecuniculi.
My bunny Hash Brown was diagnosed on Thursday with EC (I had a bunny Oatmeal that gave him the EC. Unfortunately she passed away in November.) I adopted Oatmeal knowing she had EC and had her for 3 years. I’ve never noticed Hash Brown having EC symptoms until a couple weeks ago (he was flopping on…[Read more] -

Nethies are a dwarf breed. Certain problems are more common in dwarf breeds simply because the dwarfism gene causes their faces to be smooshed. This means teeth, sinuses, inner ears, etc. can be affected. It doesn’t mean your particular bunnies will have problems or that non-dwarf breeds don’t have these problems. But you do see it more with the…[Read more]

I have a similar issue, my bunny loves burrowing and chewing on the pieces of the carpet, I move him, give him toys, even took up the rug and moved it. He found it and got to chomping! It’s an old rug so I’m not worried about the rug but more worried about him pulling it up and chewing/eating the bottom part which has some plastic grip parts. Are…[Read more]

i’ve never heard of any problems specific to Netherlands dwarfies, but they can develop health problems like any other bunny. As long as you make sure they behave normally and take them to the vet for annual check ups, they can live happy, healthy lives!

YAY rescuing rabbits fills your heart with so much love! Knowing a rabbit will be living an improved life makes me so happy! Shelter and rescue bunnies may take longer to warm up to people but they are absolutely darling and rescuing a bun is so rewarding!
