I think critical care could be good. It has all the nutrients a bun needs + fiber. If he’d be willing to eat it from a plate it would be really great. You can mix it with canned plain pumpkin (not pie filling) or sth else that is yummy to entice him to eat it.
In case he finds pellets bothersome just now, you could soak some in water and see if…[Read more]

It could be stress related, but it could also be sth else that just coincides with the new puppy. That the poop looks different is an effect of the change in food preferences. It’s very good that she is eating hay, but it is important that she eats enough hay. If she stops eating, it becomes a veterinary emergency very quickly. You should monitor…[Read more]

i think the recommended amount for an adult rabbit is 1/4 to 1/2 cup of pellets per 6lbs of body weight every day π
house rabbit society have a good FAQ type page on a rabbitβs diet that takes you through the recommended foods and quantities for baby bunnies all the way up to their senior years:
hope that helps! π

Hi there! I go by Mai and I recently got my first bunny! I have been wanting to adopt a rabbit for over 12 years now and I was finally at a place where I could do so and I have been blessed with such an awesome little guy. We are extremely certain he is deaf. He is such a lovable and snuggly rabbit. The wonderful folks I got him from are unsure of…[Read more]

i started free-roaming him and his boredom behaviors went away pretty fast. I unfortunately can’t get Louie a friend right now but I’ve been giving him lots of love and he seems to be feeling less bored.

thankyou yeah I used to think no I must get one from a breeder but no know IΒ now that the shelter rabbits need love as well
(I knew they needed love I wanted to adopt a pet from a shelter)
say hi to Louie for me and give him a piece of apple(or something to fit into his diet :)) to say how much I love him(definitely not as much as you though)

it’s just probably stress about the new puppy but if your worried take her to the vet if you can.
(p.s. I love your rabbit I love Netherlands dwarfs she is so cute)
whats your puppies name?

It’s most likely stress from the new puppy and the traveling, hopefully they get to know each other better and they settle down, but there’s usually a way to have rabbits and dogs coexist even if they cant interact with each other. It’s good that she’s still eating, and the changes in her diet will change her poops.

i definitely agree ALL bunnies are cute! I don’t know much about breeders, but best thing about shelters is you can visit with the rabbits before adopting, and as Wick stated, they often have prebonded pairs that are already fixed to spare the hassle.

thankyou wick im going to be open-minded but if I don’t find the rabbit for me in a rescue ill look at breeders because all rabbits deserve a home even if they are from a breeder π
but I’m going to look at a shelter when I’m ready to get a rabbit and I’m going to try getting one from there
besides all rabbits are cute
