All of my baby buns that I posted about before are wonderful little ladies and gentlemen.
This is a post asking for a tutorial on how to help my bun. Will all this medication cause harm? I read on here that some vets give metacam (dog) pt .08 every 12 hrs I questioned the second hospital and the assistant  looked at me like I was crazy.  My s…[Read more]

If it’s a booger, then no. It doesn’t sound like it’s obstructing his breathing.

I’m pretty sure he inhaled it, he still had a little bit left. Do you think this is an emergency?

I wouldn’t recommend a butt bath unless he actually has poop stuck to his rear. If it’s just pee stains and hay getting stuck, a butt bath isn’t going to do much. You really would be better off doing a sanitary shave. A vet could do this if you’re not comfortable doing it yourself.

Something could have come loose. I imagine he will eventually work it out. The drops should help.

Hi, so I posted this one Reddit but also want some advice or if anyone else ever experienced this with their rabbit.

My rabbit has a booger stuck in his nose. At first, I thought it was a booger that needed to be taken out, so I went with a q tip to gently take it out, but nothing really happened. So then I thought it was a dry booger, as it sort…[Read more]

Ok thanks, I will try asking my vet about it!

One of my rabbits is a lionhead, so he has a lot of fur near his butt. Due to the long hair, he has pee stains and poop and hay sometimes get stuck. The problem is that he is very shy and doesn’t like being touched, never mind carried and groomed (he will occasionally bite). Sometimes I do have to force him to brush him since that’s a nec…[Read more]

Sorry for the very late reply! The ciprofloxacin and ketorlac are for his cataract on his right eye. Now, I wonder why he would prescribe it if it wouldn’t help with it. I will talk to him about it my next appointment. He also thinks my rabbit has sniffles or pasterulla since my rabbit has had weepy eye in the past and sneezes a lot while also h…[Read more]

You can also open the windows frequently the first few weeks to be safe. New furniture and rugs is definitely something I can smell so it’s probably even more noticeable for the bunnies. That plus the chemicals that have no odor.

Pet rabbits are one of the most misunderstood pets in terms of care needs– unlike dogs and cats, the “every day” assumptions about care and overall intuitiveness is simply not there, so it is hard for both children and adults to know instinctively what it means to take care of a rabbit. Many amazing rabbit owners now do have a background in…[Read more]

Thank you for sharing! There is an online database for entering vet bills, if you want to take the time to contribute your experience in another way as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/Rabbits/comments/puugtr/new_community_rabbit_veterinary_bill_database/
