If you have a carrier with an opening in the top, you could put her in there and try to do a tummy massage. You can also try to just lift her bottom up a little bit, to help the gas move along. I second the Simethicone, my guy gets gas sometimes during a shed, and so far it has worked every time.

Just a side note since you mentioned binkying in your last post. Binkies aren’t always a sign of happiness, it’s something rabbits do during a fight to avoid an opponent’s attack. So during bonding, it can actually be sign of things getting tense.

Oh yes I like the idea of paper bags too! I hate all the garbage produced by those pee pads, but they do come in really handy for certain situations.

It does sound like she’s perhaps a bit gassy. I would keep offering hay especially, critical care is good too, and any favorite greens (but make sure they aren’t gas-causing ones, like broccoli, cabbages, or even kale in some buns). Encouraging some gentle movement can also help with gas.

@DanaNM Ok, that is what I thought. I’ve been using the pee pads under the litter pans for about a day now and they have not chewed them so I think they are going to be perfect. They are working great and making clean up way easier!!! Thank you so much for all the advice!

Yes, I did increase his amount of pellets, so that could be the cause. I think I will just add more bedding into his litter box because it does a good job soaking up the urine and reducing the smell.

One method I’ve seen to help find the claws in long fur is using a piece of mesh or lace the claw can go through but surrounding fur is pushed back by. Never tried myself as my buns don’t have long fur but might be worth a go!

Hmmm, is she going through a heavy molt? Sometimes a big shed can make buns cranky and cause a bit of tummy upset. Sounds like she may have had some gas, which the pain med would help with.
