hmmm, it doesn’t sound like they are fully bonded to me, that amount of fur pulling isn’t normal in a bonded pair.

What did you do to bond them? Are both spayed/neutered? There is a “bonding template” pinned in the bonding section. If you paste into your reply filled out it would be super helpful!

As stated, males and females can display the same hormonal behaviors. This includes humping! The only exception I can think of is false pregnancies, which is female exclusive, haha.

Yes it’s almost always in the early morning, and we arw usually asleep. After I feed them it’s normally back to friendship. Pumpkin has little bald patches from fur pulling… No blood thankfully

I have only had boy rabbits. I can assure you they have all been very cuddly, although it took quite a while for one of them. Since he was a fully adult rabbit that had been abandoned outside, I suspect he was perhaps not very used to cuddling before he came to me.

@Hazel – I have not noticed the issues you described. I worry about them as far as her mouth goes, but that’s it.

Hunny apparently ate more pellets in the night (can’t tell how many because my father replaced them before I woke up), and she ate a piece of cilantro stalk.

You might be able to make broad generalizations about females being more dominant, but when it comes down to an individual rabbit, sex will not tell you anything. Sex nor breed will be informative when it comes down to an individual rabbit.

Some gut sounds are not a bad thing but ovol certainly can’t hurt.

The movement you saw might have been the back-and-forth motion (Peristalsis) that the hind gut does to separate particles for the cecum. That is normal and something I’ve seen in perfectly healthy rabbits. Like a rolling motion in the fur at the lower belly area.
