I’ve already emailed all the shelters near me and they are all full 🙁 My cat is a very good hunter. He brings home dead animals all the time. When Bernard was living under my shed my cat constantly chased him so now Bernard is terrified of him. I think I’d be too nervous to try to get them to get along.

I think it would be ideal if you were able to spay her and make sure she is healthy first. I also think it’s common for people to ask for a rehoming fee that at least partially covers the cost of the spay, which avoids someone taking her for snake food 🙁 . A spay will most likely help a lot. Keep in mind it can be a while after the spay until the hormones die down and the rabbits “reconnect with their true selves”. Ahhhh I see. I read somewhere that interference should be kept at a minimum so I was going along with that but it obviously is not working out for anyone. Will do! I didn’t really have to do much when it came to Lilly and Bunny (they were a love at first sight kind of situation) so this is all pretty new to me. Thank you!!

Dana – I totally forgot they were trying to get people to free-feed the alfalfa pellets. That sounds like a potential nightmare to their health for sure.
