Can’t believe we’re 1/3 into July already. Summers passing by, and with lockdown here it’s hard to go out and do all the fun “summer things.” That isn’t too big a problem though, I love chilling out in my room with Louie. (2 month gotcha day anniversary today!!!) I’ve been doing research about finding him a friend, hopefully, later this year or…[Read more]

Hello! I do not live in the UK but I use pine shavings for my bunny although some bunnies are allergic to pine shavings so if you want to be safe you can use paper bedding. And put hay on top don’t worry about your bunny eating bad hay he/she will know it has urine on it and that he/she should not eat it. You can also get a hay rack but don’t buy…[Read more]

Trixieandcookies started the topic My bunny is molting in july? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 3 months ago
Hello! So my bunny is molting right now and I am not sure if its normal to do so at this time of year. I live in Colorado and its still summer! I’ve read some where that they molt in the fall and spring and also molt every 3 months but this one is really noticeable like the ones in the fall and the spring. Thank you

Good to know — thank you so much, Hazel! CBD has helped me with my own joint pain, so I’d be interested in seeing if it could help Teddy! 🙂 What form do you give it in? I wonder if anyone else has tried CBD for bunnies?

I love the naners story! <3 So cute.
Yes, Teddy is a lionhead!! I thought for the longest time that he was a mix, maybe of Lionhead and Jersey Woolly or something. But then while trying to google what he might have looked like as a baby before I adopted him, I realized there’s something called a Cinnamon Lionhead and it does look a lot lik…[Read more]

I use PVC piping from home depot, but I only use it in necessary cords and keep other things like chargers completely out of the way until I need to use them.

I am not sure what’s up with the images cropping his ears! I think it’s the sizing (the thumbnail in my profile images shows them off) .

The quest for naners.
“Mom, may I have some naners?”

“Big O, ya got any naners?”

“How about you Bubbs?!”

“Seriously guys, I’m not impressed with this naner situation!”

hmm i guess i was thinking if it laid flat it would be less tempting. It could even be taped down or a rug laid on top? Those are much more heavy duty so it would be harder for him to get to the wire itself.
PVC pipe would prob work great!

Bam replied to the topic Bonding behavior or aggression? in the forum BEHAVIOR 6 years, 3 months ago
My bunny Bam nipped people if they stopped petting him too soon. Nipping is not really aggressive thing in rabbits. Its a way of communication. Between buns, a nip is cushioned by the recieving bun’s fur, we humans dont have that protective layer of fur, so nips probably hurt more on us. When a bun bites because he’s angry, or, as is more often…[Read more]

prince dorian the bun replied to the topic Washing New Blanket for Bunny? in the forum HABITATS AND TOYS 6 years, 3 months ago
I generally wash first too. Even if it’s just a quick wash in the sink. That said, I have in the past just given him the blanket, so think it’s up to you. If it smells pretty chemically I would wash though, sometimes if they have been stored in plastic or such they can.

hmmm, that looks like something he’d chew too, what do you think? There are nights he falls asleep under the sofa, and those are the nights I discover he’s chewed the rubber door sweep, or a lost flip flop. But those won’t electrocute him. Maybe pvc pipe or electrical conduit?
The issue with blocking off rooms is that my house is small, rather…[Read more]
