Is he neutered? Buns that are not spayed/neutered will get aggressive as hormones kick in. Or has something changed in the way you smell so that he doesn’t recognize you? Perfume, deodorant, soap, etc?

My bun has started digging in my lap and at my top, biting my clothes & pooing on me. He hasn’t done that before. He never really poops on me but it was about 5 poops. He then hopped off and came back within about a minute and repeated it again. What could this mean? Thanks x

I don’t put any hay in the litter box. It’s just the aspen shavings and the grid on top. The times I did catch her urinating in the rabbit litter box I told her no and she would just run off.

That is nice they will let you “swap” until you find a good match (sounds like a foster-to-adopt situation). That should really help, because most bunnies are bond-able, it’s just that some pairings might be easier. Some pairs just do not work (or aren’t worth the effort and stress), but this is rare. I tried to give Louie a plushy of mine to snuggle with, but he started thumping at it, so I had to get it out of the way.

Ditto, shredded paper gets soiled quickly, but it’s a quick inexpensive options for old paper or for a quick fix in between buying other types of litter too.
