I was able to talk to my vet more. He confirmed that the poop is normal and it is just because she is not eating her poop. He advised me to up her pellets and nutrients to make up for it.

I like Howcast for how too (the bunny centered ones with Amy Sedaris). and I liked BunniesofTheBurrow for her bonding videos. I am personally not at all a fan of stress bonding, so liked her approach much better.

would it be ok to put up cardboard or something between all of the pens? I don’t really have the space to move them all out of the room and give them a room with a window! My cat won’t bother the bunny box anymore since I put a screen on top because he can’t dig in the litter. It’s too bad it doesn’t work with your kitty, I guess some don’t care so much about digging/burying.

You could argue in small claims court that your friends are in breach of contract – so no, you have no legal means of solving your immediate problem. The RSPCA would have a hard time proving neglect or cruelty given the circumstances.

i also just want to mention, bonding requires an incredible amount of patience. Some bonds can take only a few weeks to solidify, and other can take months of sessions before there is even a breakthrough. It really is a very involved process.

Honestly it could be a good idea to house all 4 in separate rooms for a good months so none of them really remember each other. That way you can take your buns on their own version of a speed date. Update on bonding: All doing well, there have been no improvements and no downfalls. I am debating on when it would be best to start the ‘stunt double’ trick. Any advice is welcomed! 🙂

I agree, the best thing you can do at this point is to find a place they can be boarded, hopefully your “friends” (I’m guessing that friendship is done with) will agree to take them there. I’m sorry this happened, what a nasty situation all around. 🙁

Bunnies are definitely a learning curve! I researched for months before getting my guys, and it still didn’t feel like enough. You’re always learning new things about them. Don’t be too hard on yourself 🙂 you’re doing great!

Again, I agree with A&B. 8 weeks is the appropriate age for a bun to get a new home. With cats, the recommended age is 12 weeks, with dogs 8 weeks. As a rule the bun is separated from the mother at 6 weeks (when the babies are fully weaned and mum’s patience is starting to run low), but remains with the siblings for 2 more weeks.
