Thanks @Bam it stopped pretty quick, I think before he even left my lap… but white paw made it all so much worse looking. This was one of his clear nails so I was especially mad at myself, but I’ll maybe look into the towel wrap method or such next time. He is such a dramatic little bun with nail clips, really wish taking him to the vet was more…[Read more]

Lemony started the topic Douxo chlorhexidine for skin treatments? in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 1 month ago
Hi all, my Luna was diagnosed with ringworm about a week ago 😕 we don’t know how she got it or where she got it from but symptoms started as a matted patch of fur that wouldn’t go away on her chin. They tested the skin underneath and it came back positive for ringworm and now we are treating both of our bunnies for it.
My vet is rabbit savvy…[Read more]

If I will order, it will get here 3 months+ from now which will be useless
But I will increase her alfalfa intakeThe vet couldn’t see anything wrong I’m afraid, but I don’t trust him cause we are pretty far behind bunny wise in that department…
Hope I will be able to fat her up one day! 🙂 (not to much, just enough so she will be healt…[Read more]

The only thing I notice with her diet is that she is on timothy pellets, but young bunnies should get alfalfa pellets. Are you able to order them? I’m surprised you can’t get them, because often it’s harder to find timothy pellets. It’s good that she has alfalfa hay available though. I would bump that up, because young bunnies need the protein in…[Read more]

I’ve seen people clicker train their bunnies to flop! So not sure if he would do it on you and stay there, but it seems like it would be possible with clicker training. 🙂  If you search on youtube there are compilations of people doing clicker training tricks with their buns.

Glad he’s doing better!!! I have had buns had some sort of “gas attack” where they refuse everything but then perk up an hour later. I would have done exactly as you did: critical care and a tummy rub. Sometimes I think the critical care alone is enough to keep things moving!

Sorry to hijak the thread, but what do you guys hold the tarp down with? I plan to get one tomorrow as this sounds like a great idea! Is it slippery for the buns?
I’ve used playmats, cardboard, fleece and towels but my girl pees all over so would like something easier to clean.
They have a small room to themselves about 5’x5′ in size for 2 buns. -

I can feel her bones really easily and they are a bit sharp
She is about 3-4 months old
Her current diet is alfalfa and oat hay mix 24/7
3 table spoons of Timothy hay pellets per day (this is how much she agrees to eat)
3-2 little pieces of leafy greens
and a tiny piece of fruit
What should I do?
I read somewhere that oats are a good way to…[Read more]

My bunny Vilde has made a habit of parking himself on my chest when I have gone to bed for the night. He doesn’t flop, he just sinks into place, so to speak. I have understood that I’m supposed to pet him when he does this. After 10-20 minutes he hops away.
My bun is 7 years old and I’ve had him for almost 2 years.
