Cardboard is cheap and easy. Just cut it to fit around the corners.
Bunnies tend to like “solid” things to chew on. You might consider making a chew out of a larger board so it can remain stationary while being chewed on.

I agree with Dana. It sounds like he needs some more time. During that time though, he should have some supportive care.

How big is he? I can’t tell if it’s the lighting or not, but he does look a bit satin-ish.

@Wick Thank you! Good to know, I’ll stick with two meals. 🙂
@HipHopBunny Thanks! That’s really nice of you to say. 😊 I just want them to be happy and healthy buns.
@Louiethebunny Thank youu! Good info, it would be better for me to have a little bit of fluctuating times if I need to!

My male rabbit’s name is Louie too! Some people recommend NIC grids to help bunny proof walls and baseboards.

I don’t have a strict schedule, I just feed some greens and pellets around 8-9 am, sometimes later if I noticed Louie hasn’t eaten much hay that night, then I feed them again at 7-9 ish, they just eat hay, so if the time window fluctuates a little it’s totally fine. I also replenish their hay at those times and any time I notice it’s running low.

I just cleaned her cage but I’ll post a pic as soon as I can. The bottle does say no sugar added but on the back it says 29g, I’ll have to go back and get a different one

I do my buns twice a day and break up the portions of pellets and veggies into two to give at both times. I do them in the morning when I wake up, and in the evening around 5-6 p.m. It is great how you are planning ahead and making sure everything works smoothly, your buns are going to be so lucky to have you, and very spoiled…[Read more]

At the end of the day, rabbits have hay, and that should actually make up the majority of the food consumed in a day. Whether you start with veggies, pellets, or a mixture doesn’t really matter! The one thing I caution rabbit owners against is having too many meals in the day. Two is the norm, and I think is the most appropriate— any more than…[Read more]

That looks exactly like all my dry wall corners, haha…..
They are very tempting. My rabbit lost interest over time and after I shoo’d her enough, but there were still a few she enjoyed, so I bought cat scratches and cut them to cover the corners. I also get in the habit of having a couple pieces lying around to re-direct her when she is in a…[Read more]

hi everyone, this is my first post!
I have a 7 month old lionhead rabbit named Louie. He’s been eating at my walls when I let him out of his enclosure and I’m not sure what to do. He‘s been nurtured, has plenty of toys to chew, and always has fresh hay and pellets. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I’m not too familiar with the cranberry juice thing, but the one you got sounds like it would be mostly sugar, so prob wouldn’t have the effect you’re going for. I’m sure she would like it, but it would just be sugar 😉
Can you post a pic of the possible sludge?

I’m wondering if you guys feed your bunnies on a schedule? I have recently been waking up between 8-10am. Sometimes if I don’t sleep well, or I sleep too late, I’ll wake up in the afternoon. Should I feed veggies in the morning, pellets in the afternoon, then the rest of the veggies at night? Or would it be better to do all the veggies in the m…[Read more]

Ever since I’ve had Bernard (almost three months) her urine has had lots of calcium. I’m not sure I would say it’s sludge because it’s not that much and not as thick. Also sometimes when she urinates only a little bit comes out. She doesn’t seem to be in pain. I heard cranberry juice in her water may help. But I read the container wrong, I thought…[Read more]

@princedorian: no problem, I’m happy to help. So awesome you’re hoping to get Dorian a friend, I think he’d enjoy it. I am not dealing with two full pens, I have Louie’s pen and a dog crate for Lola. It’s a little more cleanup and litter changing, but overall not too bad. She is very good with eating hay, so I just refill her hay a little more…[Read more]
