Ditto. It does depend on the personality of your new bun, and regardless of how they act I would try to give one full day of settle in time at least. My first rabbit was much more shy than my girl, so for him I gave him a couple days to chill out, and for my new bun, she only needed one day to settle in before she was practically begging to come out.

Teeth sensitivity after filing is not unusual. You can also imagine the oddity if you suddenly woke up and your teeth were different lengths — there’s adjustment to potential sensitivity and then the foreign feel of your mouth. At midnight last night (10 hours ago), Hunny took some bites of pellets and did a more significant amount of poops. The poops were on the smaller side, again, but the quantity was good (over 20). Anesthesia recovery varies based on the rabbit and the specific anesthesia protocol a vet uses. I think the longest one of my rabbits had been “off” for was 5 hours, and then his general activity schedule was off for a while more.

If you find that pee is occurring every time, it may be a sign that there is too much calcium in her diet; however, if it’s only occurring once in a while, it’s normal as jerseygirl mentions!

Moving around can be a good thing. I remember for one of my rabbits, I forced them to move around to get their intestines moving. Humorously, he always left behind poops as he hopped…he must have been very clogged up, haha.

Any chance the grass you’re getting is from a different location or has been treated differently?

It is normal for the pee to have some white sediment. : )

They pee out any calcium that their body does not need.
