First of all try to dry him and keep him warm. Wrap him in a blanket, give him a warm water bottle or sit him in your lap. It is adamant that you keep him warm. A sick bun that gets cold can go into irreversible medical chock.

If your bun has true diarrhea, i e ample amounts of very loose stools and no formed fecal poops, the condition is very…[Read more]

I’ve had my three year old bun, Cindel, for a little over two years now. She has always been really chill, letting me pet her and hold her.

Now she is running from me, grunting and even lunging at me if I try to touch her. She will still eat out of my hand, but I cannot pet or hold her anymore.

This all started when I took her out of her hutch…[Read more]

It’s OK to clean his environment a few times, but don’t stress about it too much. It’s unlikely he is actively shedding spores at this point. EC recovery can be up and down at times, so don’t get discouraged if there’s a little setback. I’m glad he likes the recovery food, that makes things much easier.

OK, then I think all he needs is time then. Some bunnies are just very wary of things. My bunny will act brave one minute and then skittish the next. It just depends on his mood or whether something set him off (strange sounds or smells, usually). You could try hand feeding him so he associates people with good things. You can use pellets or, if…[Read more]

<p class=”p1″>Hi all. Benjamin’s blood test for EC came back positive yesterday, so it’s a good thing we started treatment already. His head tilt is getting better. I’ve done a couple of fecal transfers from my healthy bunny to Ben and that’s helping with Ben’s poops. Ben’s recovery is up and down – some days he has lots of energy and a great…[Read more]

Great thank you so much! My vet won’t neuter him until he is 6 months.

it really bothered me that he just went up to my daughter and bit her in the back, she was crying. She is kinda scared of him and I don’t want her to be scared.

I will definitely have her and my husband talk bunny to him when he does it.

Yeah, we neutered him about a month after we got him.

Yes, dried herbs or flowers make good treats.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Carpet Digging …or Eating?? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 2 years, 2 months ago

I agree with using a large ceramic tile to cover up the dig spots. Sometimes all they need is something heavy placed there to help them “forget” about the spot. Most bunnies simply pull up the carpet fibers and spit them out. But you do want to keep an eye out for evidence that something was actually consumed.

Default question – Is he neutered?

Some bunnies just take a really long time to warm up to people. It seems age mellows them.

Is he neutered? Neutering would likely help. Nipping is quite common in young, unfixed bunnies.

However, it is important to keep in mind that bunnies will also nip in an attempt to communicate. Nipping can mean “move out of my way” or “I’ve had enough”. They will do this with other bunnies to communicate with them. The problem is that bunnies…[Read more]

I have an almost 3 month old Lion Head with Rex mix.

he is a very sweet bunny however he has started to bite my husband and my daughter who is 7.

tonight my daughter sat next to me so I could braid her hair and my bunny was on the couch with me when she sat down and he just went up to her and bit her on the back. Not cool and not okay!

    then…[Read more]
