Is he neutered? Not neutered rabbits tend to be more aggressive, territorial, and overall not that fun to be around. If he is neutered, then my second guess would be that he is just not that ready to open up to another ‘hoomin š ‘ yet because of his last experience. You will get there, but all good and memorable bonds take time. š

Hi @Saurad
His set-up around the house sounds great. š Does he have lots of toys throughout it too? Toys can help take your buns’ mind off digging and some other bad behaviors. Interesting about is being in only one spot. Could you describe the spot he is digging at more? Is it just wall, does it have something different about it?
Is he…[Read more]

Hi @Dove
Unfortunately, this is a common problem that happens before rabbits are neutered. But as you said, neutering should take away the sharp edges. If he gets really bad about his territory (And it sounds like he already is) then I would recommend gardening gloves. After around a month after the neuter has happened, he should start calming…[Read more]

I’m sorry you are dealing with this!
I too would suspect a dental problem. The most common cause for low platelets is a (bacterial) infection of some type. Hopefully the enrofloxacine will help with that.
Along as you feed her critical care several times per day, and she eats it and poops and pees, she can technically survive on a diet like that…[Read more]

I have a 4 month old Netherland dwarf rabbit named Baylor. He used to live with a family that had two cats and a toddler, who antagonized and chased Baylor. He does like to nip me and to thump near me. Do you have any bonding tips? I would greatly appreciate them! ❤️

Hi everyone,
4.5 months ago I adopted a 2years old rabbit (Muffin). He is awesome and very cuddly and sweet. He is an indoors rabbit and is currently free roaming. Recently, he started digging and biting one corner of the bed. He wouldn’t let it go. Even if I try to distract him with food he just wont stop. I have to sit on that corner until he…[Read more]

So Iāve been trying to potty train Bernard since her spay (about a month) and somehow along the way she decided her bed is a litter box and her litter box is a bed. Not really sure what happened but obviously sheās confused. I attached a photo because honestly she was so cute sleeping in it. I put a blanket in the litter box because I tho…[Read more]

I’ve an 8 year old sterilised female rabbit who suddenly stopped eating entirely 8 days ago. I’ve gotten many tests run for her and she’s on critical care for the past 8 days. I force feed her every 8 hours. Her gut seems to be working fine as she’s pooping and peeing fine. She comes running for the food but doesn’t eat it, she eats a few pellets…[Read more]

So I got a 4 month old Netherland dwarf (named Baylor) yesterday and I was wondering whether I should let him out of his hutch for exercise today or if I should keep him in his hutch to adjust to a new living setup? (I am not planning to keep him in a hutch for long, it is serving as temporary housing until the x pen comes in the mail) Also, we…[Read more]

Ok! Iāll make sure I wash my hands a lot! I brought Baylor home today and heās doing great! He loves his hay and I gave him a water bowl to try instead of a bottle and he took to it right away!
