It does! Most rex rabbits have somewhat curly whiskers! It’s very cute!

Any tips on how to get her to eat out of a shallow dish? I mean how do I encourage her? It’s been 14 days now and she hasn’t eaten :'(

Her whiskers aren’t curly, no. But we’ve seen the parents, who were both rexes? I’m aware rexes usually have curly whiskers as we have many rex rats, but I wasn’t sure if the same applied to rabbits.

Sounds like a good plan. All good and memorable bonds take time, so don’t get discouraged! 🙂

She is scared when he runs at her or past her too quickly. After he zooms around, she does try some of her own which is so heartwarming to see! I am going to try and get on a schedule and maybe that will help. I have read that it gives timid rabbits a better since of security and can help with confidence. I ma guessing it will also help their bond…[Read more]

Oh, @Steph I’m so sorry. <3. The best thing to do for his mate is to show her the body. Leave her alone for an hour, then quietly check on her. If you don’t show her the body, she could think he’s lost and leave poop or other trails for him to find his way back. Some rabbits go into a depression, mine have not done this, but I have heard of others…[Read more]

Indeed, if it’s when letting him out, it’s an energetic half binky most likely. He is happy to be out.

If it’s not something with his ears, it does sound like a semi-binky (sometimes called head tossing). If there’s no accompanying excessive ear scratching, then I think it’s a head toss! Which is wonderful <3

Does she have curly whiskers and no eyelashes? That’s common with rex breeds. She could be a mixed breed?

Louiethebunny replied to the topic August Chat in the forum THE LOUNGE 6 years ago
Only one vet in my area imports the vaccine and the waiting list is pretty lengthy. I know Louie was born either Jan. 1 or 2nd from the shelter’s records, but Lola’s age is unknown, however, the rescue she is from took her in pretty young so we assume she is a similar age. I’m planning on scheduling an appointment for them as January gets closer,…[Read more]

Honestly it does feel a bit like someone saw there was a pandemic and hit the fast forward button on this year so it would seem less awful, I mean I blinked and August is all but over??
I have achieved literally none of things I wanted to do this year…but then I guess I finally have a good excuse 😆
@DanaNM that is a serious u…[Read more]

I’ve had two bonded male rabbits for the last 4-5yrs. They are around 9 I believe. One of rabbits died suddenly today, about 9hrs after coming home from the vet. He was there the last two days, due to gi stasis. They pumped his stomach two days ago and was eating hay before I picked him up. He crashed pretty hard about 9hrs later after I picked h…[Read more]

There are three videos there. Also, she looks a little sad, she’s mad at me because I had to move some things around and I think it scared her. But I promise she normally doesn’t look so sad! I added a video of her eating as proof  😆 And sorry about the dirty litter box, this was right…[Read more] -

Hmm… interesting. The rex gene is recessive, so now I’m curious. I wonder if another bunny slipped in under the radar and the breeder is mistaken on paternity. You’ll have to post more pictures as she gets older. I would be interested in seeing what she looks like.
