Dface replied to the topic Furminator on bunny? in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years ago
I have a furminator for my lion head angorra cross, but the thing about them is they are incredibly harsh on skin, and rabbits have skin like paper. A lady who owned a pet shop up from me used a furminator on a rabbit and she tore the rabbits skin while grooming.
I think recently on this forum an owner scratched their poor rabbit badly enough…[Read more]

Huh. Its strange, both parents match perfectly what a Rex rabbit looks like. I also couldn’t find specifically “New England” rexes, but the ma and pa very much look like normal, not-mini rexes with the coat type and shapes and whiskers. I wonder if the breeder got mixed up, because no, Panini doesn’t look like a rex besides her shape and…[Read more]

That is very interesting. Shows they have similar tastes 😛 I haven’t heard of two rabbits doing everything at the same time. Sounds like they will get along great. 🙂

Again, my heart goes out to you! <3 You and Ralph can be a comfort to each other, getting another rabbit is not easy, I understand. Especially when there are hurricanes to worry about. Stay safe, we are always here if you need support or comfort. 🙂

The most someone said is she has a rex face. But yeah, I’m also questioning it. I don’t really mind if she’s a mixed breed, I think she’s beautiful and I love her ridiculously long ears! She’s really cute. It’s just strange to me that we asked and they didn’t just say “mixed breed,” but she ALSO said some of the siblings went to 4-H kid, and as a…[Read more]

Awesome, thank you so much, Hazel!! 🙂 Your Sam’s photo is super adorable as well. 🙂 Yes, it took me a week to name Teddy and I was planning on some more dignified name but he looks just like a Teddy bear (especially the nose — same with Sam I bet!) and he has a very laid-back and comical personality, so I think it fits better than Alo…[Read more]

She’s likely still in pain which can make them not want to eat much. Did the vet send her home with pain killers?

Oh my, he’s so fluffy and adorable! Like a cuddly Teddy bear. 😀 Love the picture with all the stuffies, it looks like he’s asking them to groom him. I didn’t know there was a cinnamon Lionhead either, but he certainly looks the part! 🙂
Thank you for the article, that’s so interesting about the grapefruit. I’ll definitely look into that. If…[Read more]

Hello all , I have an 11 month old lionhead/mini lop mix who I just got spayed on Thursday. She seems to be making a speedy recovery but I have noticed she refuses her timothy hay now and only want orchard grass hay, also she seems to not want her usual breakfast greens but still perks up for her treats. Is this normal? I have only ever dealt with…[Read more]

Hazel replied to the topic Should I get a friend for my bun? in the forum BONDING 6 years ago
Most bunnies enjoy having a mate, of course that doesn’t mean they can’t be happy as singles (I have a single bun myself). I think trying to find him a buddy would be a great idea! Sometimes a bonding attempt doesn’t work out however, so make sure you plan for that possibility. Also, don’t limit yourself to just does, males can bond with other…[Read more]

Hazel replied to the topic Chewing every carpet I own and more in the forum BEHAVIOR 6 years ago
She might like the carpet better because it doesn’t move around and she can get a good grip and tear into it. Try attaching some cardboard to her cage, that might make it more enticing.
