I think a vet visit is a good idea, just to make sure she didn’t injure something internally in the scuffle. Can you check on her spay suture?

If it is no longer bleeding (and you can’t actually find the wound) and he’s not showing any signs of pain then I think it would be OK to monitor it, but if he got a puncture wound then he may need antibiotics to prevent an abscess forming. It’s also possible he also might have just broken a toenail in the chase, and not actually been bitten. In…[Read more]

A dewlap can develop in spayed females, although they tend to be less pronounced.
I agree with Dana. You can say “no” and then redirect her. Rabbits can learn what it means… but that doesn’t mean they will always listen, particularly if they think you’re not serious (i.e. not attempting to move toward them). Redirection is a long process, but…[Read more]

I just realized my typos oops, I meant to say shapes, not sales. @hiphopbunny I hope theyβre safe as well, but I know oats can sometimes be a problem? Making them at home sounds super fun, and cheaper than buying a new Oxbow bag every one or two weeks.

I’m not very savvy when it comes to foods rabbits should eat, but I have to say that is a great idea, rabbit cookies, hopefully, someone will respond and say it is safe, for I am really looking forward to making some rabbit cookies. Good idea @Louiethebunny

Does your rabbit seem to be limping? Can you see where it was actually injured?

I noticed Panini was flopped, but she was breathing a bit heavy. I could only see her from behind but her head was moving a bit, like she was breathing hard. It was a bit hot in here so I turned on the AC. She seems fine now, did a big stretch and went to eat & drink. Was she just hot?

prince dorian the bun replied to the topic Reusable litter box liners? in the forum THE LOUNGE 6 years ago
I don’t use a liner either, I just use hay to scrub/wipe most days when I am just doing spot cleaning. I have a grubby wash cloth for deeper cleaning too. Basically just layer of Yesterdays news and the layer of hay, which I spot clean every other day unless someones been very busy. He has two boxes, actually 3 as I just got him one for deck, so…[Read more]

Today I tried out some diy bunny treats and was wondering if anyone knew how safe they are? All the ingredients are safe, but I just wanted to check in. Iβm making them at home because the oxbow ones I usually buy actually have added sugar. The recipe is 1/4 cup pellets 1/4 cup oats, some carrot and some banana. I put it all in the food p…[Read more]
