Thanks @HipHopBunny ! He seems to get softer all over when he is in snuggle mode, the better to tempt me into more pets I am sure! I will be sure to give him some snuggles when he is done with adventure time, if I try to pet him now I just get a quick lick and then he squirms off like some teen who’s parent wants a hug in public 😀 Please give O…[Read more]

OMG!!! That is too cute! <3 thank you for starting this thread, I agree, snuggling buns are the absolute cutest! Especially when Dorian’s sleep-softened face is involved! I don’t have any pics right now, will have to see about tomorrow. Give him lots of snuggles for me!

I’m not sure I feel comfortable giving my bun human food such as Cheerios, but I think I might try craisins. Hopefully he’ll like them and will come running. I’ll probably put them in a crinkly bag so that they make noise! I’m going shopping tomorrow so I’ll pick some up. Thanks for the ideas!

So really just starting this thread as there is nothing cuter than a bun snuggling and I wants to see pics! Buns with buns, or with their humans, or stuffed animals… all is game!
Here is my entry: Dorian having group cuddle with me and his elephant friend.

X-pens or other temporary housing are usually necessary for bonding. I like to make mini-NIC cube condos for during bonding, then I can reconfigure them into one larger one once everyone is bonded. Dorian will probably be grumpy about it, but it’s only temporary! You also might end up with a new bunny that is not as ideal for free-roam, or…[Read more]

Can you try the old method but without Ziggy?

Oh Wally!
My Bunston burrowed under my box spring at one point. I’ve heard the wood thing is really good for couches, it’s what I was going to suggest!

Cheerios are another safe treat, and I think would probably be well tolerated by a young bun, since rolled oats are usually OK. I like using a treat that makes noise (like the sound of the package or rattling in a cup), so when the bun hears it they come running!

Yes I’m sure you’ll get there! My skittish bunnies are most receptive to petting after meal times (maybe because they are in food comas?). If they are already in a lounging position, I will sit or lay down next to them for a little while. If they don’t move after I’ve been sitting there for a few minutes, usually they will accept a few nose rubs. 🙂

@Louiethebunny Thank you! Good idea. Yeah I guess they could rip it up… Maybe if I wrap a blanket around the edges it’ll help?
@HipHopBunny They’ll just be free roaming for hours in my room. Thanks!

Now I let him out on one little mat to look closer and I can’t tell if he has a few little bumps or it’s fur stuck together? I rubbed it but I can’t tell because of the lighting and he’s got white fur and light pink skin. 😣😣 I mean he’s probably fine but I’m worried. He was so sweet and put his head down while I pet his head and face. It also loo…[Read more]

You sound like a very nice person, who radiates such positivity and love, that is would be hard for a rabbit not to warm up to you. 🙂 I’m sure you will get a beautiful bond with her in no time at all, but the things that we cherish and appreciate the most, are the things we worked hard to get. 🙂 Keep us posted!
Wishing you luck!

@Bam Thank you for the response!! That’s actually really helpful and comforting to know that I’m not alone in having a bunny that was once a stray bunny. Alaska only lets me pet her very gently on the side and for just a few seconds when she’s eating. Hopefully within a year she will warm up to me a bit more and realize I’m not going to eat her. Lol

Wait I just noticed in that last photo that it looks like there’s a bump on top of his nose too, above the tip of it. I don’t know what it is.
