Hey! Ollie is continuing to regain strength since his apparent stroke a 10ish days  ago.

Today he had an episode where he had similar issues. He had diarrhea (never had before) and wouldn’t stop shaking his head trying to scratch his ears. He ran around like crazy rolling and crashing into everything with his legs flying out from under him(on ca…[Read more]

They are actually like a wort.  They start small, grow into a calloused wort, raised above the skin when bigger.  They are not like scales. Ears are clean and smell clean too.

It’s recommended to have the primary living space (where the bun spends most of it’s time) be at least 12 square feet, plus an additional 50 sq feet (minimum) for exercise space at least 4 hours a day. More space for more time is even better.

Rabbits need room to run at full speed at least some of the day to live happy and healthy lives. The idea…[Read more]

    Hi everyone,

    I have a question.

How much open floor space does a 4 lb Holland Lop rabbit need? I thought it was like 25 sq feet (xpen + large dog crate).

Can a rabbit this size live in a tall cage with levels?

And if not, please give reasons why.

    Thank you!

If it was a tiny shard, even taking to the emergency vet probably won’t do much good since they wouldn’t be able to really find it. On the plus side, rabbits are really good at grinding things down before they swallow them, so there’s a chance it’ll just come out as usual.

I would continue to monitor and if you see anything change, such as signs…[Read more]

    Hi all,

Sorry for no introduction but I have a rabbit named Pepsi and tonight she knocked over her treat jar and decided to eat treats as well as possibly a piece of glass.

While I know she ate some treats, I also am afraid she ate a shard of glass as she was chewing loudly and it wasn’t like normal. She did not let me grab it out of her mouth…[Read more]

Are these flat scales on the edge of the ears? Or are they like mounds? Do they have a wart-like appearance?

Unsure what they are. Not mites. Not flees.

I think they appear if her ears are exposed to water???

    She is upstanding ears.

They appear anywhere on ear. Feel like a rock type callous.  They don’t scratch off.  They can grow and get bigger.

What do I put on them?? So they heal?

    Thanks.

his room is right next to the kitchen/dining area so he hops in there as we can all see each other… when he is done eating he just flops in his door way and watches us. I am not sure how to take a photo to show he is eating with us, but here is link of him where he took it to a whole new level of lazy. (it’s Dorian’s instagram account as it is a…[Read more]

So I apologize, in advance for this wall of text, looking for a little help in taking care of a rescued 4-5 week old bunny.

Me and my girlfriend have two currently bonded bunnies. One is a female Netherland Dwarf (Psyron) aged about 7 ½ years. Another is a Male Holland lop aged about 2 years, Arti.

Here is the catch: we recently adopted a bunny…[Read more]

Hmmm, is he acting fine now? Is he still in the position? Did he just stop right there and flop? I would say it seems fine. Some buns like to get comfortable in odd ways. 😉 I have a bun who likes to sleep on vents and door-stoppers. 😆 Agreed, he sure is cute! 😀

I am not sure how normal it is, but I do have to say he is too cute! It looks like he loafed and just got way to tired to hold up his head.
