Hunny continues to do poorly. She is barely pooping, and the poops she leaves are small and dark in coloration. She shows no interest in food of any kind, and we’re lucky if we can get more than 5ml of Critical Care per feeding in her, nowadays. Hunny spends a lot of time hiding in her tube.

I am really bothered by my vet. There aren’t any others willing to see him within a 3-4 hour drive and we’d have to drive through the Willits fire to try and get to a different vet that I know is decent.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. 🙂 Starlight’s new favorites are APD timothy gold and binky bunny oat hay. I just use all the other left over hay I bought for litter and it seems to work.

Some buns molt in patches. That is often the case when you see spots of hair loss but no accompanying skin problem. With mites and fungus you see some changes to the skin, such as dandruff, redness, irritation, scabs (can be skin colored, so easier felt than seen).

My bun got sore hocks last winter, when he was poorly with something unrelated. It healed well with cleaning, applying of antibacterial cream and wrapping. If the skin is not broken you can use spay on band aid, but don’t if there’s broken skin,, because it would be very painful. If they are wart-like growths, then they are probably papillomas. Ears are not an uncommon place for them. If they are indeed papillomas, there isn’t much you can do for them at home.
