LBJ10 replied to the topic bergess excel pellets?? or science selective pellets??? in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 11 months ago
Both pellets meet recommended nutrition requirements. I don’t know too much about these brands (not sold where I live), but I think the only real difference is Burgess Excel is “grass”-based and Supreme Science Selective is Timothy-based or alfalfa-based, depending on the formula. Burgess Excel also offers different varieties with added…[Read more]

In helping you decide, it would be helpful to know what are things that matter to you.

As with many things, its ingredients make it very much a treat, so fine in moderation. It can be helpful to find products similar to it to get a gauge on whether you can expect something to be “good” or “not”.

DanaNM replied to the topic Bunny chews everything!!! in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 11 months ago
Some bunnies are just not great candidates for unsupervised free-roam due to chewing etc. My Bunston (who was also part dwarf!) was very destructive so we could only give him supervised roam time. I think the NIC cube grids are a good plan to block access, along with maybe using some safe lumber to give a better alternative. Hopefully he does…[Read more]

Thanks for the encouragement. π I’m going to be picking them up today and will see how everyone is doing and what the bonder thinks the best strategy is. I would like to know if she saw ANY positive behaviors between the girls aside from tolerating each other.
Not going to make any decisions right away, and I might try to do some proper…[Read more]

Okay, take a deep breath, and just relax for a moment. π
She’s watching the stress levels of all of them, and when Bonnie was stressed out “I then took Bonnie to sofa and gave her tlc until she purred.”Β They’re in good hands, and she’ll end the session when it is time. π If BJ starts getting really stressed out, which I don’t think will…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Want to bond 3 females in the forum BONDING 5 years, 11 months ago
It can sometimes be easier to bond males, but any combo is possible. You would also probably be able to get a male neutered younger. Young bunnies are sometimes mis-sexed, so I was mostly just checking that your current girls were spayed to prevent any accidental pregnancies in case the new bunny was actually male.
It’s hard to predict how it…[Read more]

The 2 I have now are both spayed. I did not pick another female intentionally. That is what was available with where I am looking. Is it better to get a male?
