I think in the case of buns and how quickly they can go from fine to critical it was a good choice. Maybe it was indeed nothing serious, but you called and they said to bring him in, so I think it was all pretty reasonable. I don’t you should ever beat yourself up for caring too much either!

I guess there is a bit of space contraint. Tt is mosty due to him bing picky. He has never liked a brand for more than a few months and 10 lbs would basically last us forever.
I have not tried APD yet. I’ll have to try some the next time i got shopping

I need some support and was hoping that anyone could let me know if I did the right thing.
When I went to see my foster bun Snowball this morning, he seemed totally fine (excited to eat pellets, pooping, etc.). However, when I visited him at 12pm, something seemed off. He started to flop a few times (which at first I thought was a good sign a…[Read more]

Waiting for my last post of the second session to get approved. This is the nip I spoke about: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xvhyHv6D_o0avd_PpZT068AwGPk-MHlP/view?usp=drivesdk
Definitely a nip but no blood drawn.

(don’t mind the tape, we’re redoing the tiles on that wall)
Second session:
Today’s session was about 45 minutes, then I started putting them in the carriers.
The behaviour was about the same as yesterday, but more snuggling. I think Muffin nipped Pinky on the nose, but no reaction from Pinky. I think Muffin wants to be the dominant one m…[Read more]

I’m not sure about paint, but I know there are a lot of rabbit and guinea pig safe stains that you can use to turn wood all different bright colours (mainly used on toys). That might be the closest thing?

Celia & Clover replied to the topic Bun tantrum or just trying to scare me? in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 11 months ago
My rabbits never thump loudly unless they’re scared. There must’ve been something bothering her. It makes sense that she was less thumpy when you were in sight, because everyone feels safer when someone else is around. It’s possible her last big thump when she saw you was her trying to warn you about the danger you were ‘carelessly ignoring’ :P…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic Confused Whether my Rabbit is Spayed! PLEASE HELP! in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 11 months ago
I doubt that she is spayed. Its not about the rabbit surviving a spay, its about the tiny, tiny size of the parts the vet has to remove when doing a spay. If the bun is very young, it’s not yet fully developed in the nether regions.
It is possible to littertrain an intact rabbit. My bun Yohio was young when I got him (approx 5 months). He…[Read more]

Hi, I am so confused, I got my rabbit when she was 2 months old, and the person my mom got her from told her she was spayed already, which doesn’t make sense because she was less than 2 months when the other person had her. But before I took her to the vet to get her checked out to see if she was spayed I tried litter box training her, I didn’t do…[Read more]

My picky little lionhead loves American Pet Diner timothy gold and the feedtastic one. I went through many different brands too. APD is her favorite.

My bunnies eventually chew any carpet they can sink their teeth into. I’d guess that your other bath mat probably has it coming too at some point, but the new one is just more exciting to explore (with little mouths and sharp teeths). Unfortunately in my experience once they’ve started chewing something you either 1) live with it or 2) find a way…[Read more]

Bu20055 replied to the topic pellets once or twice a day?? in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 11 months ago
I agree with Bam- rabbits adore their pellets. My girl steps all over my feet, runs in circles around me, jumps back in forth, and sometimes binkies in excitement as I’m dishing her pellets. I’ve started taking her water bowl off the ground before I dish her pellets because she knocks it over in the middle of her pellet dance lol

Shes not a fan of carriers and gets stressed by noises. She doesn’t get crazy stressed in cars but still nervous.
@DanaNM
Yes. She’s the kind of bun that’ll eat anytime and takes lots of eating breaks. It was about 4 pm-10pm. She stopped eating her cecotropes as well (for that time- she’s eating them again now- and she left them in…[Read more]
