Thanks Dana. I keep thinking of all these “signs” that maybe I missed but maybe Snowball was in pain and I just didn’t see it. The vet tech gave me an update and said Snowball gave one poop in the 24 hours he has been there, so I’m praying that he will pull out of this. I feel even worse knowing he’s in the shelter alone, and all because of st…[Read more]

Ok, thanks for all the responses! It helps a lot. ^_^
That stroller does sound adorable, I’m currently attempting to harness train my buns so I can take them for walks and I have a cat backpack I bought for my bf’s cats who have no interest in it so I’m going to try and see if my girls like it, haha! (Instead of a stroller)

HipHopBunny I think it’s been a few days that he’s been having some sneezing fits. Sneezes everyday from both bunnies. I haven’t heard a sneezing fit today, though. Which is good.
The email I got from the vet says it could be from allergies and dust. They said to keep the area clean. But not sure what to do about the hay dust. They said if they…[Read more]

Baylor can now a eat a whole leaf of romaine and is now going to try some kale. My question is if Baylor can eat one whole leaf of romaine every morning currently, then can I give him a whole leaf at night without starting small and increasing the amount every 3 days?

Baylor is so cute! That picture of him not being impressed with the fall foliage is hilarious. It really makes me feel like we need a caption contest thread. 😀
Dorian and Tybalt are looking devastatingly handsome as always. 😉
Starlight is such a beautiful little fluff ball!

I’m not sure why the first vet used Convenia, but I’m guessing it may have been because she wanted to give him something other than an oral antibiotic, and that was the one she had available that she has used on rabbits before. On this initial visit, he was only diagnosed with an ear infection and a skin infection from where he went to the…[Read more]

I’m sorry, false pregnancies are always stressful for bunny and owner. Fingers crossed it will pass soon.
I don’t know if you are aware of the cancer risk with intact females, but at four years old she is very likely to have abnormal cell growth already, at the very least. I would advise you to get her spayed as soon as finances allow. Some vets…[Read more]

About the upper respiratory infection – how long has it been going on for? Does he have repetitive sneezes? OB had one of those at one point, you could definitely tell something was wrong with her too, for she had constant heavy breathing. 🙁 If it is that though, once my girly was treated, she was as sassy as ever…[Read more]

Oooh. I’m so sorry you are going through this. 🙁
My girls did LOTS of these too, unfortunately. What you can do, is give her extra hay, scatter it around her pen so that she finds it, and feels more fulfilled that way. Cotton was a great thing that my ladies loved too. Does she have a place to build the next? If she doesn’t give her an area…[Read more]

Oh gosh, yeah def good to visit the vet then. Hopefully it’s nothing serious.
To address your original question, most rabbits do pretty well in the car. They may be stressed at first but tend to settle down. Putting a familiar smelling blanket or towel with some hay on top is usually the best bet. Our rescue often has to drive rabbits 45-60 min…[Read more]

No it seemed pretty random in terms of when she was uncomfortable. I haven’t introduced anything new yet, I’ve just been sticking with the things she’s already had. She has her vet appointment today so we’ll see how that goes. I’m just especially cautious about anything that could be a sign of sickness because they found a tumour when she was s…[Read more]
